Where did you get that 38º Rxton 7? It's not an official Loki rubber, probably a special order of some vendor.

Table Tennis World Store on AliExpress sells 37, 38, 39, 40, 41 in red and black
https://aliexpress.com/item/1005009239802728.html

Catalogue mentions only 40° for this version

Text mentions 37 to 41...

I got a sheet of Loki RXTON 9 a few months ago, finally decided to glue it. I boosted it with one layer of haifu yellow, and it domed nicely. price was just below 20€.

A lot of people praise this rubber, so I am curious how it will compare to my h3n BS. I got the 39 degree version, and it weighs only 47g cut to my ajh tmxi pro (160x152). The quality of the rubber seems very nice, the topsheet feels soft and elastic after boosting. the tack is nice too, and the topsheet is very shiny (not matte like commercial h3 nowadays)

I will try it out tmrw for a field test

one question about the rxton 9, I saw the black version is available in 39.5 and 41 degrees
meanwhile there is a red version which also has a blue sponge. that is available in 37, 38, 39 etc degrees

do the red and black version of rxton 9 play the same, or are there differences in sponge / topsheet technology?

the red version is the provincial version and has a more porous sponge. for me it played a bit boring compared to the normal national version in 39 or 41. less of everything

thanks for the reply. and do people here generally boost their rxton 9?
I just boosted it because I assumed it would be dead without it, just like h3. Or is does it come factory boosted?

It comes factory boosted so it can be played like that, but a layer or 2 of booster makes it better overall while keeping good touch and feeling, at least the 40.5 version

TELSON GERMANY is just a $20 rubber after all.
Even if you boost it, it's not worth it.
For comparisons What do you usually play?

I use Telson 100 475 on the BH, and its a fast rubber. So far i tested about 8 sheets (for other players), all had great grip and bounce, durability is quite good i just revived the sponge a bit with a layer of booster before regluing. Booster helps a bit with throw angle and dwell time. It can be used on FH without problem. I made a lot of side by side comparions with rubbers such as tenergy 64, fastarc g1, Dignics, bluestorm z1, hammond z2 etc.

For what level of play do you suggest rxton9 ? Like beginner? Intermediate?
Its quite fast and if using 40.5 maybe a bit hard for beginner without boost. You need to engage the sponge, spin and speed potential is high, touch and control is good. Recently i put a Rxton 3 pro on a beginners racket and it works really well. Its quite tacky, Easier to play, Good feeling overall.
