that is correct
why wrap your blade/rubber with tape?
it will lock the vibration and affect the feeling.
it is only necessary to put it in places to protect the rubber separating from the blade,
i am wondering why for example both FZD and LSD have just some few centimeters of tape (?) on the upper side of their rackets. this obviously can't have anything to do with protection, but i assume it's some kind of "balancer" to distribute weight?

It is protection, that's the part of the blade most likely to hit the table. The fact that too much tape affects the blade's rebound is the reason why it isn't used liberally according to the experts (Boll and Dima made comments about it in their racket preparation videos), but based on how the player plays, those parts of the rackets are the ones that usually need protection on pushes and loops that might hit the table.

True sign of ob player
Being called an OB player is truly a badge of honour. Coming from someone who never exercised and was a 100% beer chugging salariiman until his forties. TT has indeed make me feel great and young. Perhaps, this is my fountain of youth.

That tape is as thick as a Zyre sponge! Did you boost it?
he needs extra padding, which we normally only recommend for elementary school kids that bang the racket against the table.

the only sad part is, he is using very old tape (the current logo has been out since 2014)

More likely to keep the boosted rubbers from cupping.

It's especially suited for his situation - the rubber adds speed as well as spin and his blade doesn't give him that speed (and 09c definitely didn't either).
It's really how fake is your opinion about one blade recently released that you for sure never used.

Yes, but i know that no matter how fast a blade used by a defender is, it is not an offensive blade. Even when blades are designed for asymmetric play, the stiffness is a property if the whole blade not just one side.

Before speak without knowing better try and after made your opinion so you will not confuse the people.
You are right, I should make it clear I haven't tried the blade. I have not tried it and that should be made clear. The blade could be a rocket blade for an asymmetric blade for all I know.

That's the kind of review I really like! He points out the pros and cons of the rubber, how it compares to other rubbers, and how it's more suitable for some players, but definitely not all.
Although I've only had a short hit with the rubber, my findings were very similar...perhaps that part of the reason I like the review :ROFLMAO:

Here is a review from an unranked player who just moved to Zyre03:
1. MOAR SPIN!
2. MOAR CATAPULTY!
3. MOAR SPEED!

Well actually what made me bought it:
a) Ricosheet tech - 40% longer lasting that Dignic 09C
b) Zyre03 has short wide pips geometry. Gman played with Tenergy 25 before and knows what it can do.
c) Thick sponge like the Energy Cell series of Andro’s Rasenter EC series.
