At the start of this year, Dan took on one of the most exciting young talents in world table tennis, Benyamin Faraji. At just 16 years old, he’s already done the unthinkable, beating two World No.1s: Wang Chuqin and Lin Shidong 😱

Back in January… he absolutely annihilated the Founder. So almost a year later, it was time for a rematch, but this time, we brought reinforcements.

Enter The Dane and The Beast 💥 Two former top juniors looking to see if they can put the world’s best kid to the test.

In this video, we also dive into Benyamin’s new equipment setup, why he’s recently changed it, and see which TTD Team player can score the most points against him in a set to 11.

Let’s go! 🔥🏓

Nor is sora. Pretty sure he’s 18.
But he’s still in the youth rankings for this year and next. Plus he’s world number 1 for all kids. So I’m pretty sure Sora is the real “worlds best kid”

Future Champion
His problem is that even at his age, unless they don't play, he still has to beat Li Hechen, Kawakami and Flavien Coton who are all currently significantly stronger players. It is great that he has beaten world #1s in team events but his record against his age mates is nothing close to as dominant. He is going to be a good player for sure. But he is not currently the most dominant player at his peer group by any measure and is not a lock to be a future world U19 champion. He will need some help with the draw and the absence of the players listed above to win it all.

Watched a lot. Faraji for me more fun to watch
Kawakami - Coton and Kawakami - Wen were two of the most fun matches at the last WJTTC. . I like Faraji but he gives up the table.when his serve and attack game isnt working. I suspect i know why but I will claim ignorance for now. Happy you like his style but I think he deviates from modern TT too much to consistently succeed at the highest level with the new balls and mostly gets a lot out of his serves. Maybe with strength he will change.
