He doesn’t get special versions 🤣 I don’t know why so many people assume that all pros have special or different blades. I can tell you right now there is no Joola sponsored player who is using a special blade, they are absolutely all commercial. Even someone like Pitchford is using the same ZQH blade that you could get from a shelf. I would know since I’m the one who gives them the equipment 🤭

I won Anders Lind blade he used 2 years ago when he won his first WTT tournament. It was a Donic Traditional classic or something. Cant remember exactly as wife us it now. Anyway it plays really well. Then my friend liked it so much he bough the same online. totally different blade. Like TOTALLY different.
So either the production quality is all over the place from blade to blade. Or the blade Anders Lind was using was specially made for him.

So, basically, for a player the other perks from a contract (like.. money) are more important than results

Also in their previous 2024 WTT match in Chongqing, although Hugo won 3-2, Dima actually scored more points overall in the match.
Obviously Hugo scored his when it mattered more, but I'd still call this a very close match.

I've heard rumors that Joola might be discontinuing some of the Rhyzen and Tronix line. Would be interested to hear if there's any truth to this one may be a good indicator of what the new Trinity Rubbers will be like

I think it is not that much, that he lost, but how. It was clearly visible, that Hugo struggled with keeping his service and service receive short. In addition there were a lot more unforced errors, especially with short pushes that didn't clear the net. It was obvious that he was fighting with his setup more than usual.

That should not diminish Ovtcharovs play. Especially since he was hand cuffed for his serves from game 1.

I expect Hugo to play shittier on a new set up. I know I normally do, but people will overreact to this like they did to Fan Zhendong losing a few matches in Germany. Hugo will be fine.
