Interestingly, he switched back to D09c on the forehand. Seems Zyre is simply an overkill.

The match vs Luka likely did it. Dima just couldn't find any consistency.

Just saw the highlights yeah it looks like that
If Chinese players can be so consistent and still explosive with H3 which is already slower than D09c I feel Zyre is just too hard to control in pressure moments even for pros
Muscle memory is already built around T05H or D09c so switching to Zyre would probably hurt consistency
And maybe that is why Chinese players are so consistent they never think about switching and most of them have used only H3 for decades with muscle memory built over years

Harimoto is playing some of his best TT with Zyre as is Togami. Ultimately you find what works for you. No free lunches in TT. That LYJ is willing to try SALC and Zyre speaks for itself.
