Should I "upgrade" my all-wood 5-ply Kiso Hinoki?

Is there a One Ply Hinoki with anatomic handle somewhere to be found?
And if someone has played with them,if it really is not an Imagination from my EJ-Brain Illiusion can that somebody talk about the differences, man how i envy all that don´t have to search for that handletype.
If you reeinter the game after a long absence,i never thought the Handle type would be the most crucial aspect,as if Speedglue,polyball,etc...wasn´t enough, lol.

The Yasaka Masamune 3ply hinoki i bought has a fat st handle, if you have big hands and are sick of childrens grips, too. Its the best handle I've ever held.

NO sadly, one custom Builder had mentioned that he get a Kiso Hinoki Single Ply Wood at around mid June.the wood for it i mean.
Most single ply builders ,don´t do anatomic handle.
Well and there is Always Sergio @hipnotic but he only has veneers not a single ply,but maybe i switch to a 3 ply or something else with him,i already have 2 Blades from him which are great.
And i simply have the BTY Kiso Hinoki V which isn´t a bad 5 ply allwood Blade either tbh.especially when paired with harder rubbers.

Yea, anatomic handle is hard. I know its not the same, but theres a nice one ply st darker 90 for sale in another thread here that could be an anatomic with a little tape up top.

ah ok thx for the info, but i wil probably go then with sergio or one Custom blade maker who gets a new Kiso Wood transport ,and makes anatomic.
A bit sad that anatomic in general is probably so out of the modern game, that you can almost cross off 85% from all new blades that come out.
i would gladly search for Xiom Michelangelo for example,i believe that model was buyable with An Handle, and then there is Sergio or Vodak for example.but SIngle ply is like seraching the needle in a Haystack!

Read 3 reviews
Hi, yes, I've been playing with my 3 new blades lately - 7P-2A.C, Joola Rossi Emotion and Nittaku S-CZ.
All have a nice, controlled, soft touch, all have a carbon layer which kicks in when hit hard, all about 82g and all have Rakza Z on both sides.
All three in my view are really good blades, all made for the same level/type of player, yet all three feel very different.
I plan to interchange between them in the next month or so, hope to gather my thoughts and write a comparative review if it is of any interest.

So far I can say that you were spot on about a 7P - it is indeed addictive ;)
Hi S-Pin, any news on a review of the Darker 7P 2A carbon? Im still curious! 😊 Especially how you would compare its charcteristics with those of the other hinoki blades you have got.

After reading all the trara about Hinoki blades and Kiso Hinoki blades I bought this one when it was on special at Ali. Cost me about NZ$ 30 . I am sure I don't get the """REAL"" hinoki feel but I like this blade. I gave it the same combo of rubbers I have on my DHS Hurricane blade and this cheap little beauty makes my life much easier.
It gives a good feel and much more spin.
..........and it smells real nice and woody too 😁

Hi all,
Great thread.
I have Nittaku Septear (7 play all Kiso Hinoki, Battle2(FH)+Apollo5(BH))

I also have Bty Korbel, (Apollo5 on both sides). I feel that Septear is slower in blocking compared to Korbel, but Septear has much more crispy feel. Septear has much better control in short game and I can hit some amazing chops from time to time with Septear. Loops are little difficult with Septear ( It is issue of my technique actually) but when done correctly Septear gives v. high spin compared to Korbel.

Adding images of Darker 7P (from page 4 of this thread) for grain comparison.
