The rules have been due to be updated for a while, and I am hopeful that the process will be closed out soon.. Those rules were written in the MySpace era or something like that and don't account for a lot of things that have changed. Usually, and I have said this when you reported a similar post, I cut some slack because most browsers enable you to translate posts written in other languages - I actually edited a post that you reported to contain the English translation. The platform is becoming increasingly global as well. That said, this exchange has raised a point that might need to be made to others reviewing the rules and I might consider adding to the rules a stricter English policy and a justification for it..
Posts have been reported and I have taken action as necessary. Sometimes, when I read a post and construe it as breaking a rule obviously, I can take unilateral action. But that doesn't mean I am perfect or that my interpretation is the only one that work, so relying on me to see a post as you do just because I wrote it may not be the best way. That is why I encourage you to report any post that you think is a violation. It doesn't mean that I will agree but it means that I will at least try to read it and see whether I agree with you or not. I have even had people report posts and because they didn't list a specific objection, I didn't know what rule they thought was being violated. But after they reported it again and did specify, I addressed it.
As always, there is a moderation team that includes myself,
@Dan,
@Giangt ,
@NDH and
@UpSideDownCarl. You are free to raise all these issues with any of them as well.
Thank you.
