I've been using RPB on my Armstrong APEX 21, which has an black area on the back that is straight rather than curved (unlike standard JPEN). I put tape on top as a layer since the black part is slippery (glue wont stick as well and has air pockets). .

How can I stick my RPB rubber (Dignics 05) on the backside without it falling off/scraping off the black part?
The reason is I want to keep the black part on back if I wanna go back to JPEN

I have some experience with this. The black side will be too slippery. You need to rough it up with sandpaper to give it some rough texture.
I've only got experience with butterfly, so I don't know how thick the Armstrong paint is, but I'd imagine they put a varnish layer on the paint or something, so you need to roughen it.
As long as it's black, it'll still be legal for tournament play, doesn't matter if it's a little faded.

OK sounds good. thanks for responses
How did it go? This was my attempt from a few years ago (I don't use this combo now). Did it stick well?
