@HCHN-b4b其實...最好...不要暫停..因為..香港...這位雙打好手..關鍵球很行ㄅㄉ
(Actually...it's best...not to call timeout...because...this Hong Kong doubles player...is really good at crucial points)
Coincidentally, the second last time Diaz made it to WR9 again back in 2/2024 was due to CIC and HY dropping off, the former for heel injury and the latter (also with injuries) for points expiring from WTT SCT Goa 2023 which overlapped with points from WTT SCT Goa 2024 for 2 months. And the very last time Diaz made it to WR9 again in 4/2024 was due to a good draw both in group and main draw at World Cup 2024, which was another factor you pointed out.CIC WR19 and Adriana WR20. looks about right. yes, some of Adriana's drop is the increase of participation from Japan and China in WTT. She's the 2nd ranked non Asian player (Sabine is WR15). but she has benefited also from the aging of other players. She's 25 and if she has matured and has improved since 2022, the crowd is improving even faster, and at 25, its gonna be downhill from here for her physical abilities, so i doubt she'll get into top10 ever again.... unless she switches to anti at a younger age than Sabine did...![]()
I will take it as progress that you think she is top 20 now because that was too much for you even back then. She had benefited purportedly from the aging of other players- could you list some of these players and see who is head of her now to see whether this is about aging or just keeping/improving her level while others have gotten worse?CIC WR19 and Adriana WR20. looks about right. yes, some of Adriana's drop is the increase of participation from Japan and China in WTT. So where did he say that it was without continental points that he needed her to stay in the top 16? You keep making up stuff. And remember that Takkyu actually had respect for Quadri's ranking, which was built on substantially the same kind of thing as Diaz's yet the conclusions are divergent. So I ultimately believe statistics were not the issue, the eye test was.Coincidentally, the second last time Diaz made it to WR9 again back in 2/2024 was due to CIC and HY dropping off, the former for heel injury and the latter (also with injuries) for points expiring from WTT SCT Goa 2023 which overlapped with points from WTT SCT Goa 2024 for 2 months. OTOH, regarding your opinion that Diaz belongs to WR17-32 bracket, without continental points, Diaz would have dropped to WR21 in 3/2025. I remember she would've have dropped even more 1 or 2 years earlier (I once compared WR with and without continental points in a thread over at MyTT (lost forever) and NextLevel was active in the discussion).

Japanese players have a right to compete. The level in Japan has become stronger overall. When i started following TT seriously 10 years ago, Mens team was so poor they had to import 3-tier players from China like Kai Yoshida or Kan Yo to play in the national team. Women were not that strong, Ai Fukuhara was the best chance for Japan, 2nd or 3rd players were quite far behind her and others much farther away.I will take it as progress that you think she is top 20 now because that was too much for you even back then. Is the crowd really improving faster or are there just many more Chinese and Japanese players ahead of her?
I doubt she will get into the top 10 but I definitely don't think it is impossible. She is a fundamentally sound player, gets away with some dubious serves, and competes well with all the mainstream topspin styles. She just needs a break at the right time, she isn't far away from the players in the top 10. Just one or two good Smash or Champions results (which is partly what got Sabine into the top 20) will do it. People forget that when Diaz was top 10, the other Europeans were top 15 and most critics of Diaz were silent about those Europeans, which is what led me to my position that people just don't respect her game. If she had beaten the North Korean at the Olympics in 2024, it would have given her more respect R16 and QF come with different levels of respect).

Maybe a similar thing can be said of CNT women's team ?
Else, from Europe Han Ying, Bernie Szocs, Sofia Polcanova come to mind, but we have to add some solid players from Asia declining or retiring as well.
Diaz did a good thing competing in TLeague. Thats one of the reasons she has improved. But time is running out for her.
Anyway im happy with my predictions. Btw i can brag about having won the prediction game which was organized 2 years ago here. Won the 1st prize (a ticket to the Olympics) so i have a little track record

Usually I set VPN to Australia and just watch live on YTI know that this may seem weird but out of curiosity how do you go to see the games, and if so what would you suggest? I would like to watch the games but I’m having my exam period rn and my parents aren’t really for it?
What's your grade? If it's good, by all means go watch the games. If it's bad, all the more reason to go watch the games. You made a mistake somehow, I was shocked to see Alexis Lebrun and Satsuki Odo as XD partners and looked for it on your list but you have OH and Nagasaki in their place....Scheduled Matches:

Not sure what that prediction game was and congrats on winning it.
didn't say that, its just one explaining factor.In fact, this 20/21 ranking is about the lowest Diaz has been and she has been consistently higher ranked than European women for most of that period, yet you claim that it is the decline of such European players that has given Diaz a higher ranking. Which is it? In reality, the decline of Europe explains pretty much nothing, but people will look for any excuse to validate their internal feelings.
