I have to side with Poret on this one. Poret was actually in the receive stance when Uda suddenly goes up to the front of the table and wipes his hand on the table. Poret then does the same as players usually do. Awful call by the umpire.

Many such cases lately. The umpire should make himself as invisible as possible, not the other way around.

In other news, Truls survives a scare.

Interesting that WCQ is being called for serving from in front of the line, and won his challenge.

That was the wrong "call" by the umpire. If the umpire had made this call from his service side, it would have been pointless anyway, because he would never have been able to determine that correctly. From the camera side (or the opposing referee) it was already clear that it was a good service.

Looks like the same umpire as one of previous events where she keeps giving yellow cards to players for no reason.
