Singapore Smash 2026, Singapore, 2/19-3/1

ZYL somehow got pinned down tactically and failed to come up with solutions.
Winter has so much diversity in her game, bh but above all the fh. Her loops are so freaking spinny and her drives are so fast, and you never knows what will come your way. I disliked the antispin before, because it looked so awkward, but she is changing my opinion very fast...

You predicted a lot of upsets even in matchups with significant history. That's always a high risk betting strategy though it pays off big if you have insights others don't that make the upsets likely to happen.
Lol that is true. I aimed high mostly based on recent form but alas i was wrong. Unfortunately, one of my predicted favourites fell too in an upset, too. The wrong upsets happened for me

The Winter match is the difference between playing for Puerto Rico and playing for powerhouses like Germany, China etc. You can have good players but if you dont have a tactical team to make sure you are prepared for the opponents, you have to depend on talent more than deep preparation.

Interesting timeout...
The problem for Anders is that he has expressed public respect for Wang’s playing level as one of the highest ever if not the highest ever. So he will always have impostor syndrome when he is up on Wang. That 7-2 timeout spoke more to his mindset and must have given WCQ a boost. Grateful that we still have such talents and personalities in our game.

Can they stop putting Hashimoto in the first session? It's the middle of the night in Europe and I miss all her matches.

Winter is coming
Winter came and won. That's your new GoT ending. Martin can thank me later.

the WTTC lineup announcement plus Odo being called out for her serves by a very sharp umpire (why can't they all be like this guy) probably made the difference this time. JNT is at a point now where you can't break into the main team without overcoming major setbacks (Hirano for Paris, Hayata at WTTC 2019, Hashimoto with Miki House) so the real test for Odo will probably begin now. It's no mean feat as we can see from Ito who doesn't even bother to try now.
Service calls have been a persistent issue for Odo since WTT CS Frankfurt 2024 but nothing was done after being called again at WTT CS Japan 2025 and it finally cost her a match at WTT CS Frankfurt 2025. If outsiders could keep track of her "misdeeds", what about Nakazawa?

Yet unlike Nagasaki reflecting on being called by SYS at WTT F Hong Kong 2025, Odo didn't reflect on her service issue in the mixed zone interview...

LYJ had been destroying XP even with the LYJSZLC. He does seem to be in top form right now though.
XP is known to have problems with certain lefties. That Viscaria SALC > LYJ SZLC comparison (here, here) is more of a confirmation that the switch is comprehensive rather than double-edged, the latter of which is often the case.

This may have been said already but that Anders Lind timeout is the biggest backfire I have ever seen in that regard.

He gave WCQ exactly what he needed, what could he possibly have been thinking?

I honestly believe he wasn't thinking and did it impetuously.

He had WCQ in the ropes and (no doubt iny mind) would have won game 3 if he'd stayed at the table.

The worst and strangest time out that i have seen. Can't understand him.
