Bro Igor's post wasn't a tutorial of how to boost, it talked about wtt enforcing rubber rules and how Alexi Lebrun had 3/4 equipment strikes

The post did get interesting when that lost of 'strikes' was posted, I didn't know about that.

I deleted it. A smarter moderator than myself wanted to keep it but I got tired of people hitting the report button. People rarely hit the report button on the forum consistently on any post, and when many different people do so, it is for me a sign that something is really offending them on the forum.

There are other related things, but not going to discuss them at length here. But I wanted to just give your post a response. I would prefer people report these things rather than post beneath them at length, but Igorponger definitely crossed the line for a few people with that last post.


Actually, looking at thread, I will reinstate it for a bit. Was a bit too hasty. That is why you shouldn't moderate after a lengthy period of academic study.

Maybe he got those rubbers from the factory or supplier and thought to himself: "Shit , they look a bit fat, I better measure them

I think people reported cuz NDH said if they wanted posts like that to go away they should report it instead of interacting with it.

I reported it because igor doesn't bring anything else to the forums. If he was actually involved in table tennis discussions, posting a couple of self made memes or attempts at them shouldn't be a problem, but it's 95% of what he does.
Take Gozo for example, who loves posting his Butterfly memes, but he also makes other posts and interacts. It's a world of difference.

Who is to say what we need?
Many will say we need lots of different opinions and viewpoints.
Igor has never really explained anything so most of everything is conjecture and reaction to his posts.
He obviously has an issue with boosting 😂
And that seems to be because it is cheating. But so what ? 🤷‍♂️
It's as easy to ignore it as it is dangerous to censor it. Free speech is what our western civilisation is built upon.

Funny thing is, I reported Igor several times but for completely different reasons (mostly for russian propaganda)

Yeah, anyone can be naive if they wish to be.
But believing that FZDs (or anyone else's) worry about racket thickness isn't to do with boosting should possibly remove you from the conversation?

I think it's the world's worst secret that CNT boost H3 to make it playable.
The evidence?
As shown in a brilliant scene from Better Call Saul it's often enough that people know even if it isn't proven in a specific moment.
Ask Lance Armstrong.
Or in the words of Bob Marley 'you can fool some people sometimes but you can't follow all the people all the time' and the court of public opinion matters (which is where such threads come from) at least when folk aren't being naive.
Past CNT members have even admitted to it and discussed it.
It's obvious that the rule is silly and more of a moral virtue signal that can allow ITTF to pontificate how they have rules to ensure fairness bla bla bla rather than anything conceived with the idea of catching cheats and somehow having a level playing field: because every factory rubber should be the same. Which they wouldn't be anyway because DHS will do what the CNT want if asked or pushed.

But the rule is there and watching players sweat while their rackets are checked to the mm is quite funny to me because there is only one reason why they'd be worried 😉
