WTF! Hursey just took down DHK 3-0. That little petite is like pocket rocket…. Miu Hirono in her prime. She got Wales two points and that is against Team HK, a strong team at that too.

If Carey had pulled out thr 3rd match (lost deuce in the 5th), it would have been an upset.

Good job, BEL! The pace has been completely off for JPN ever since the first group match.

Harimoto completely out of form, he should be replaced by Togami
Per @zeio, Sweden would sure love to have him. Vs Truls the troublemaker. He keeps the team harmonious vs Truls, who chafes and loses whenever as the best player he is placed in the #3 position as he has been twice... lol... joking....

Well, I haven't been up to date lately. At some point, Kasumi was supposed to leave ;). Maybe Togami isn't some kind of ace and his game is quite predictable, but he has great footwork and manages against lower-ranked opponents.

The funny thing about Harimoto is that he refuses to use his athleticism unless he is relatively relaxed with the lead - he should be using it all the time and stop all this control blocking and countering - what a waste of talent!
I... Disagree.

His forehand technique is too bad for him to be an all-out attacker and his backhand countering is near-perfect.

I have had coaches tell me that physically, in the training hall, Harimoto is one of the best athletes and it is very obvious. I'm deferring to their observation. The way he plays is more about his style than his physical or technical limitations. And there are people with worse/similar forehand technique who play more forehands.

Oh, his physicality is top tier, no argument there.

That's said, I believe back surgery is definitely in the cards for him some day. His stroke execution gives me a headache.
