Hi,

I have started using a Butterfly innerforce layer alc with Butterfly Sriver on backhand and normal Butterfly Glayzer in forehand. I sometimes find a little catapulty with Glayzer and I think Glayzer has a high arc too, so wondering whether to try Razka 7 on the Forehand - wondering if the arc is lower so don't miss the end of the table as much - less catapult ? how it compares with Glayzer on this blade with control including in the short game?? Thanks

Steve

Glayzer on an Inner ALC is a good racket.
Yes it has a bit of speed but it is a high quality racket and so now you are obliged to learn how to use it.
I say you should just embrace this and get yourself a coach and a training plan. Even if you only get some coaching twice in the next month that will be enough to show you what you should be practising and how to train for the next 3 months or so.
After three months of that you will not feel you need a new racket or rubber.
Basically it's now about spending few $$s and time so that your investment in that racket will pay off!

We're one year further by now so maybe @steve888 can tell how it went?

I found the innerforce a great blade, but I have moved to now outer carbon blades now. My main blade is the FZD Alc but I still love the feel, control and spin of the innerforce blade. I ended up using the D05 on the forehand and glayzer 09c on the backhand on the innerforce. The innerforce is still one of my backup blades. :)

Interesting, why did you prefer outer carbon, and how is it working for you? I am not fully convinced about my Innerforce but (as per usual) don't quite know in what direction to look.

I found the innerforce great for defending but not so great in attacking, also I found sometimes I got catapult affect with the limba where I would overshoot the table on hard hits. I like the outercarbon where I can access the carbon quicker for more attacking direct shots and the added speed however you do lose control a little when you close up to the table and doing the touch shots etc.
