Where do you see the pairings?

I want to vent a bit about countries that have one player too far ahead of everyone else. Worse than Harimoto has ever really had it. Kiril is also not longer on the list as he now has a legit #2. Hopefully Hugo will leave the list as well some day. China wants to join the list but we shall be patient lol.
Brazil - Hugo and Bruna
Puerto Rico - Diaz
USA - Kanak
Wales - Hursey
Nigeria - Aruna
Any others?
Darko, not really because Kozul delivers in European matches - true that their #3 is too large a drop off. Goda has Meshref, so I don't see that one. So I could see it for Darko maybe in some contexts. Reasonable suggestions for these teams at a high level for sure.Darko Jorgic?
Hana Goda?
Probably studies. Why wasn't Amy Wang selected in the US team? Injuries? Focus on studies?
Looking at Sally's development curve given her comprehensive athletic talent brings up my old question - is it better to be competitive with adult players at a younger age while having gaps in your game or to be built out more comprehensively and fundamentally and challenge adult players later? Sally's game is so comprehensively sound that she isn't going to have major weaknesses unless she is injured. The best part watching her is seeing her play without a knee brace or any tape. It is always painful for me to watch someone so young playing with such supports.Sally Moyland MVP !!! Beat both of India's top players.
Ukraine has Pesotska the terminator which poses a different challenge. A major rise in level of opponent.Sally Moyland beats Manika Batra 3-1, and USA beats India by the same score. When was the last time USA women reached the quarterfinals? They’re 1 win away from that, against Ukraine.
Potential, sure, but again, the next opponent is a significant level up. Beatable, but a level up.USA Women's potential Top 8???
Probably contacts. Possibly but unlikely surgery.Iizuka not using glasses anymore
If Google AI answer is to be believed, that (USA women reaching quarterfinal) has not happened since the 1930s/1940s era.Sally Moyland beats Manika Batra 3-1, and USA beats India by the same score.
If I’m not mistaken, they reach for the Round of 16 for the first time since 2008, when Gao Jun was playing on the team. When was the last time USA women reached the quarterfinals? They’re 1 win away from that, against Ukraine.
The AI answer is nonsense in any case, an actual answer would depend how literal we take this question. The last time the USA WT finished top 8 was in 1956, getting 4th place. However if it's specifically about playing a quarterfinal it hasn't happened yet. Early decades of WTTC had formats with only groups and at times a final, later on semifinals, but not more knockout rounds. For example in that 1956 WT event Romania topped a group of 8 to be crowned champions. If Google AI answer is to be believed, that (USA women reaching quarterfinal) has not happened since the 1930s/1940s era.
Yes, the last top 8 in 1956 as i said. Big opportunity in this part of the bracket where the host took the seeded spotnonetheless I think it’s safe to say that after the 1970s (China domination) USA Women’s team has not gotten to quarterfinals or beyond ?
