This is what people who point to the weakness of the anti keep underestimating. She doesn't quit, you have to keep her struggling until the end.
Kaufmann's strength and weakness both lie in her power, and the common counter to that is variation of spin and speed. She has to dial it back when the opponent makes it uncomfortable rather than sticking to the same power zone. Elements of her game bear similarities to Hayata so perhaps that's why Miwa fears her.

Miwa still fears Kaufmann despite winning twice after Paris 2024, Hashimoto fits Winter style-wise, and Hayata is not at 100% so it's still a tossup if GER could change the lineup enough to tip the balance, like what Li Ching did for HKG vs GER at Tokyo 2020. Many didn't think PRK would lose to GER in 0-3 after they narrowly lost to JPN at ATTC 2025.
Miwa is 17 going 18 - she can still has permission to hallucinate monsters when she doesn't have the experience to build perspective. I think Tamara Boros is brilliant, but to anyone who wants to threaten China and Japan, I will believe it when I see it.

Good move putting Lin as number 2, all the pressure on Sweden now, and the young guns from Taiwan are dangerous. Careful though as Lin - Kallberg is also an open game, Kallberg doesn't suffer him greatly like Truls does.
