Noticed a lot of equipment changes during the contender Skopje.

Hitomi Sato: Dignics 09c -> ZYRE. Yang Wang is also using Zyre so it isn't unprecedented.

Kihara: Speedy Soft D.Tecs -> Speedy Soft XD. I noticed Kihara was using a vertically aligned shortpip at the ATTC trials held in Japan recently and the sponge color was slightly different. Can clearly see the pips are vertically aligned here.

What blade is Honoka Hashimoto using: Goriki, Goriki Danshi or Goriki Super Cut?
It's definitely not Super Drive, because it has 6 plies.

I read that she's using Super Cut, but then I saw some pictures/clips with her using Goriki.

This is a great question and one that I've come back to a lot recently. The answer is, unfortunately, no one knows because of the grip tape. I posted a link where the ITTF interviewed her, where she said she was using the Goriki, Hurricane 3, and Do Knuckle (1.2mm sponge, which is custom made for her). However the ITTF took it down for whatever reason. Here is the link

The likely conclusion here is that she probably uses both, and goes back and forth depending on things like the ball, the table, etc.

Speaking of shoes, I noticed Zong Geman is wearing the Mizuno Wave Medal 5. However, before she used to have tape over the logo, but currently it looks like they must have gone in and tore out the logo because you can see the out designs on the side.

I wonder why the CNT team have allowed her to wear it. I thought they are strict when it comes players having to wear Li-ning uniform and shoes. I would like to know the reason why but probably won’t get an answer though.

I imagine it comes down to wanting to represent China and Chinese brands and putting them on equal footing with the top international brands, but that's just my take.

Honestly, he had terribly consistency and he also lacked power today. I don't now if it has anything to do with equipment, but he surely looked at his racket after misses.

It's reasonable, his customed H3 national stock might have ran out and now the only sponsor he can rely on is Butterfly, but still a weird choice considering he doesn't choose D09c (the closest alternative to H3)
