I do not know about different sports in China nowadays, but can imagine it was much more only tabletennis before. Also think there are more tabletennis centers where you practice a lot in europe today.

I feel bad for LSD because I'm his height haha, but I think he simply isn't good enough to be a top-tier, Grand Slam level player. He rose through the ranks through this weird internal CNT period where ML, FZD step down and also upcoming foreign players haven't found their foothold. But once the Lebruns, Sora start becoming more mature and others study his playstyle - he has struggled ... Now yes he's still very young, but I really think his physical build will limit his ceiling. His BH is top tier but his FH is just mediocre ... maybe he could eventually develop it, but it's gonna be so hard. You either have it or you don't. ML, FZD you could see their FH was a terror even back they were 18,19.
Or maybe the table tennis gods are punishing him for disrespecting FZD when he's still a rising youngster haha

LSD lose again. If consistently losing like this, then the bosses of CNT should just put him in XD and let him stay there. The least he got a medal chance in XD with KM.

The problem is no one is better than lsd inside cnt right now.

I can read and understand Chinese and even though I enioy many of the Chinese views and links as it brings different views and shows that different culture does
And do have different thought process. And we should just accept that. I believe the moderators already allow the Chinese editorials from zeio even though this is suppose to be an English forum. A German TT forum I go

But anything written has to be in German. I seen people being warned here when they were writing in Russian? Or some other language previously.

What puzzles me most is to try very hard to cite someone to support your argument. These days, you can not convince anyone based on what others say. But if someone like that, I am totally fine to ignore and skip the posts.

I wonder why the Chinese are no longer able to dominate as they once did. The absence of Fan Zhendong has certainly left a gap that has to be filled by players who are not yet fully developed.

(Previously, members of the old guard used to provide support for the new team: take Wang Hao alongside Ma Long, Zhang Jike and Xu Xin, and later Ma Long and Xu Xin alongside Fan, Lin and the others.)

That said, however, Wang Chuqin and Lin Shidong – the current top two – are struggling against the new players. Why is that?

Are they not on the same level as Ma Long, Zhang Jike and the others?

Has the game changed to favour players outside the Chinese style – see Lebroun, Harimoto, Sora, LJY and others?

Back when the old 40mm cellulose ball was used, and even during the early years of plastic balls – perhaps up until 2019 – I remember that Chinese players always had the upper hand in prolonged rallies and on the counter-attack. Now they almost seem to be at a disadvantage. It seems much easier for non-Chinese players to stay in prolonged rallies, and they even seem to do so with less effort.

It almost seems as though they lack power compared to players from the past.

Remember that Ma Long and Xu Xin won the MD national title. Give that some thought and you might realize it is not entirely about style changes. While the ball does reward a different style, it's really that the pipeline quality is not there. After all, the Harimotos in principle could be playing for China.

That said, it is also coinciding with amazing growth from the European guard with the proliferation of Chinese coaching, provincial player and techniques around the world. The fact that the top penholders are not Chinese speaks for itself.

Morizono is actually not of much help given his recent interview, only capable of turning to strategic use of TTR against JWJ at crucial points and complaining when it wasn't available at WTT CS Yokohama 2026.
