Gan and coach Xiaoyu both reviewed it and said the 40 degree version is about 52-53 grams cut to Vis. Coach Xiaoyu also reviewed the 37.5 BH version and said it's a bit lighter at around 49 grams.
It might be unit-to-unit variation.
The general feedback from regular players is consistent: The performance is good, it’s just heavy. And it doesn’t absorb oil, so they’re worried they won’t be able to handle it.

37.5 came out lighter at 51g. That being said it came out much much bouncier.

I agree with that. The 39 did not want absorb booster very much. After glueing it feels a bit dead. I might try reboosting it over the weekend if it plays badly.

Yeah, very possible. I recently bought 10 LACs and measured all of them while still in package. The 5 red ones were remarkably consistent, ranging from 100.7 to 102.2 grams. The 5 black ones were not so much, 2 were within that same range, one was 98, and 2 were 94 grams.

Have you tested if they fall apart? The LAC recently had a pimple glueing issue.

Haven't had an issue with the 3 sheets that we've played with. Note that I also bought 3 sheets from Aliexpress before the more recent 10, but they were purchased only a couple weeks before (thr 10 were shipped by sea, so arrived much later though). The sponge is fairly fragile though, my first test sheet which admittedly went through a lot as I tested it on quite a few blades kind of tore apart at the edge.

For those 3 sheets I've played with, 2 were for about 2 weeks each on the BH side. I mostly do BH training these days so they went through a good bit. Another was played on a clubmate's FH. He hits fairly hard, it's been a couple weeks no issues with bubbling yet.

Perhaps there'll be issues when regluing, but we all go through rubbers pretty quickly, maybe 2-3 months at most, with 1 to 2 reglues in between at most, so probably not gonna be an issue for us.

This rubber annoys me, it did start an EJ inside me. Ordered the National Yellow booster, just to try force this rubber to bend.

I did try out the rubber on a casual playing scenario. Going to take both of them tomorrow to group practice, and I hope its going to be as good as today. If it will hold up like this for a month, I am going back to EJ hibernation.

The spin is stupid. Pushes are stupidly spinny. Top spins are spiny as hell. I cannot put my power down yet, I am still recovering...

The rubbers have a tendency of gathering moisture. That is the original reason why I stopped playing with the stickies....

Just an irresponsible guess: Could the reason it doesn’t absorb oil be that the sponge was already pre-boosted too much at the factory?

Hmmm... Not sure I had sinilar experience with Hurricane 3 No.22 Sponge. Sponge itself is super stiff and hard to bend.

Can u elaborate more on the date code thing?
DHS and the OEMs who make DHS sponges mark the production date and batch in that way. B would be 2 and F would be 6, with X being 0. The rest are for the batch.

It could just be Loki copying DHS to appear cool and sexy but I doubt they're that lame.

EDIT: Or it could be all for production date. In DHS it's just year and month.

BF 26 = 2026
XH = 08
AF = 16

16 of August 2026.

As a software engineer it deeply bothers me that F would stand for 6 and not 5. I noticed that one rubber had last letters AE, second one AF.

It's technically a 0-based system with X being 0, and then 1 starts from A. You know, like on a keyboard.

did you play again with that setup ? I ordered the same but I think I won't boost it
Its incredibly good. So much spin, so much confidence. So much high gear speed. I will write up findings when the honeymoon ends. I want to have a broader perspective first.

So far I noticed that my BH flick is going on (finally), pushes have much more spin than previous setup, serves have higher quality. Openups have much higher success rate. The 37.5 stays on BH for sure. The 39 on FH i need more info, but probably as well. I need to put the lac on a second blade and compare. The r9 has softer top sheet than lac. LAC was faster in lower gears. I have not made upy mind yet. But I think this will stay the setup for next 2 years.

What I found is that both of them were feeling like empty cardboard box for first hour. Then it crispes up. What is confusing me is that when you bounce the ball on the racket it does not bounce much. When drive it flies.

Thanks for the info how much did you boost every sheet ? You think it can play without boost ? On a w81 inner sadc ?

Im low intermediate

SADC is too stiff for me. Do not know how it will behave on that blade. BH curled into a roll with 2 layers of Kailin. 39 did not roll much with 3 layers. I think it might benefit from more concentrated stuff like National Yellow. No idea though if that is 100% correct. I have not tried it. Yet. With 3 layers of Kailin it plays ok. Its stupidly spinny even with drives.

If you are worried its too fast for u, I would suggest boosting even more. Softer sponge is easier to engage.
