Is LSD really back or the table and ball an advantage to him due to shorter height and the ball does not bounce as high on the Sanei tables
Aichi-Nagoya 2026: Slower, lower, weaker - together
LSD: Later, shorter, fainter - no other

Harimoto needs to do better against hidden serves, but your logic is twisted. The shame is on Alamiyan.
Your fanboyism is twisted. Harimoto criticized Hayata for requesting the MTO against her sister at WTT CS Yokohama 2025 but then he requested the MTO himself against WCQ the next day.

LSD already started using the shovel/hook serve and still lost the first and second games. In the third game that he won, at 8:8, he actually used a very clean heavy backspin pendulum serve that LYJ pushed into the bottom of the net. For the one at 9:8, he used another clean pendulum serve and won the rally to get 2 game points that he converted on the next one. Therefore, saying that LSD would've lost in 4 straight games is simply fanboy behavior.

Attributing LYJ's loss entirely on hidden serve is nothing but a loser attitude. The following images were posted before on MyTT where LYJ was clearly hiding his serve and he still lost the match.

Harimoto says not just LYJ and Matsushima, but no one who serve reverse pendulum are within 30 degrees in toss angle and calls for everyone to serve cleanly from now on.

哎呦老盒知道勾手肯定超过30度的,是故意ttr的

WD F
Harimoto/Hayata 0-4 KM/WMY (-0, -11, -4, -9)
G1 011
G2 58, 98, 99, 109, 1010, 1110, 1113
Former HKG head coach Chan Kong Wah noted that the 2 misses from Hayata at the end of G2 were a few too many for a player at this level.
G3 20, 28, 38, 310, 410, 411
After G3, Chan Kong Wah commented that Hayata was the one who kept missing whereas Harimoto made few mistakes.
G4 03 TO for JPN, 13, 14, 44, 45, 55, 56, 66, 69, 89 TO for CHN, 99, 910 Harimoto served off the table, 911
Chan Kong Wah thought it would have been a 6-game match.

Chan Kong Wah added that according to intelligence, the uptick in WMY's form has to do with her FH, which has been worked on.
Hayata's performance in this match is comparable to Togami in the MD SF lmao, losing so badly I even felt second-hand embarrassment watching that match live

Former HKG head coach 陳江華/Chan Kong Wah: 呢個唔係你嚇咗一驚,我諗成個乒壇都嚇咗一驚啦,冇人預計到有呢個賽果嘅 (It's not just you that were shocked, I think the whole table tennis world was shocked, as no one would've expected this score)

https://youtu.be/siOoGzIfAUE?t=1077
G3 4:2, where the TV host asked Chan Kong Wah about WMY's FH and Chan Kong Wah explained that Hayata's FH was non-existent in WS, but with Harimoto's control at the table (setting up the point for her) Hayata could get her FH going.
https://youtu.be/siOoGzIfAUE?t=1152
G3 7:2, where Chan Kong Wah praised KM's solid game and being very smart when looping, able to change her stroke at the last moment.
https://youtu.be/siOoGzIfAUE?t=1313
G3 10:4, where Chan Kong Wah said KM's game was comprehensive and very intelligent.
https://youtu.be/siOoGzIfAUE?t=2054
G4 9:8, where Chan Kong Wah found it puzzling, like how missed 2 long serves in the WS SF against WMY, that Harimoto would make a long serve at that moment and how she might have overthought there.

Nagasaki/Kihara: Ahem...

WD? No doubt she will go all out. She knows deep down being tethered to Harimoto will be her lifeline for LA28, especially now that JTTA has made clear it's necessary to form "selective, ideal and stable" doubles pairings.
You think she's really cynical eh.
I haven't been watching TT long enough to make a judgement but I did catch her in the world team event in London and I thought she was just a bad pick in the No.1 or 2 spot there. The defender would've had a higher likelihood to exploit the tense atmosphere and thrive under national pressure imo.
So far I only see nerves from Hayata. Not any deliberate slovenliness in team competition. As stated though, I admit I have not been watching long at all.

If that's what you think of her at WTTC 2026, then you are strongly advised to fill yourself in on the extreme measures Hayata took to "secure" the WS of Asian Games 2026 (here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here).

I've followed Hayata extensively since 2014, so I have observed the major stages of transformation throughout her career. As I noted last year, Hayata's character was more collaborative in the old days until WTTC 2021 and started becoming opportunistic after WTTC 2023, with her demeanor leaning toward that of Ito that has been criticized by a tabloid as being selfish.

LOL. So your multiple links revolve around Hina's post injury recovery and MTO controversy. Well, she says she's recovered from the injury, and she's been playing like it's mostly or fully recovered. I don't know why you think it's not. Regarding the MTO, you automatically assume she had some nefarious reason for calling the timeout. She got prior permission as you noted and let the JTTA decide what if anything to say to Miwa's team. Maybe she didn't want to mention beforehand that she might or might not call a timeout as it could be construed as a way of gaining a psychological advantage. Who knows... but don't automatically assume the MTO was for nefarious reasons. Her interaction with her physical trainer/coach was extremely minimal. As for getting WS spot at the Asian Games, she's the 2nd highest ranked player behind Miwa due to her winning 2 Star Contenders and playing well in other WTT tournaments. During the games, she demonstrated in teams a win over CIC, who is a dangerous player, and a straight games win over SYB, who often beats Japanese players aside from Miwa and Hina. She beat ZYL 4-0 in the SF of singles to secure a bronze medal. Yeah, she had a really bad gold medal WD match. But overall, she did well.

LOL indeed. Fanboy once, fanboy forever.

Any comments on Victory Sports News criticizing their peers for not reporting that Hayata still stayed at the practice hall for over 2 hours after eliminating Harimoto and several hours more before her match against CXT? I saved this one for you.

There is little doubt she's been going back and forth on her injury. Telling Table Tennis Kingdom back in 4/2026 that her left arm was only at 50-60% compared to before Paris 2024 and then telling the press ahead of WTT CS Yokohama 2026 in August that she was no longer worried about the injury, only to wince in pain in the WS F against Hirano at WTT CT Almaty 2026, merely weeks away from Asian Games 2026.

Well ‘selfish’ is a common catch all slur in Japan and the mass media are hardly who I’d trust to make solid character judgements.
Whatever though. She’s a pro player and I’m not. Good on her for a more than ten year career.
Approach might change from teens to twenties and thirties.
Even legends like Applegren seemed quite tactical about how to push and peak for certain events no?
In athletics or combat sports people praise that

One of the more boring Mens finals I watched in a while. Maybe I am imagining, but it wasn't worth watching at all.

In the olden days, you could see in all Chinese Mens finals, Ma long/Zhang Jike, Zhang jike/wang hao, FZD/Ma long used to fight tooth and nail in finals with lot of emotions.

Here I could not understand if LSD/WCQ were playing finals or practicing? No emotion, no outward display of fighting spirit, no nothing...!

It would be better for us if we do not have finals like this. I mean this is finals gold medal match!

The crux of the issue is not "selfish" being a slur but that Ito has said something detrimental to the team spirit that it was justified to be called out by the media. That was her second time doing so, previously ditching the WT of Asian Games 2022 after failing to secure the WS. Sato gave up her WT spot as well (likely to be a water dispenser but that's ultimately her loss) and subsequently Nagasaki and Harimoto took them up.

After being ditched by Hayata, Ito has become close to Hirano again. Opportunistic once, opportunistic forever.

P.S.

AI Overview
That phrase captures the idea that ingrained behavior rarely changes. It implies that once someone reveals a tendency to exploit situations for selfish gain, they are highly likely to do it again whenever the chance arises.
It is often used as a warning to:
  • Anticipate repeat behavior: Do not expect a habitual opportunist to act out of loyalty or principle.
  • Protect your boundaries: Guard your trust, resources, or information closely.
  • Avoid wishful thinking: Judge people by their consistent patterns rather than their promises.
