Blade-should be wood, carbon not ideal at this stage-Something Like: 1)Stiga allround classic 2)Yasaka allround Classic These Blades are around $50 each, and are very good allwood blades.

Rubbers:

Forehand:1)yasaka mark v 1.8mm-to 2mm(dont go for max at this stage) (around $40 per sheet)
2)Butterfly Tenergy 80fx (around $55-60 per sheet)
3)Butterfly Tenergy05FX (around $55-$60)
4)Stiga Calibra Tour medium (around $50-$55)

backhand:1)Yasaka Mark V ($40)
2)Yasaka Rakza & soft 1.8mm(this size sponge is good for control) ($55-60)
3)Butterfly Tenergy 80FX ($55-60)
4)Butterfly Tenergy 64 ($55-$60)

Hi guys

Can you give me some suggestions about what should be a blade, FH rubber, BH rubber for a new player who wants to learn basic TT techniques? All should not be more than 150$, that is the most I can afford
If you want to learn basic techniques i can suggest you something a friend has and like it, Dawei xp 2008 super power both rubbers and blade Dawei quattro X(could be something else) . Honestly if you dont have shipment issues head for it. I played with it and then with my Xiom and i can tell you, its like my blade but with a bit less in every aspect ( spin power etc ) apart from control at which dawei was just little better. Well thats inevitable because its more power is harder to control .So strong suggestion :)

YinHe n-4 with YinHe Apollo III 1.9 on FH and Yasaka mark V 2.1 on the backhand. This allows a lot of control to develop strokes without having to worry about speed, or bottoming out. 7 ply is good for mid and close, and the Apollo is great for looping. I might be able to sell my n-4 to you, not sure though.

Agree with Tony. Stiga Allround Classic and Yasaka Mark V is a great place to start. Good spin, good control and a bit of pace. Not too much speed to have to control but enough to develop your game, Tibhar Allround Classic is also good quality and good control. Plenty of options but you can't really go wrong with Mark V ;)

I think he only looked at the South Africa flag to say the one who commented was Tony, not noticing that's mahomedy lol

Yeah, no ways I will recommend Tenergy for new users.
It will do more harm than good from a learning stroke point of view.

Imo, 150$ is a lot of money, infact too much.
As above, go for a classic all round blade - depending which shop is easier for you to get.
Any rubbers like Yasaka Mark V, or even cheaper Chinese branded, but Euro type of rubbers can work (if you want to learn Euro style of table tennis)

For a new beginner, I sell KTL instinct blade with KTL Pro XP rubbers, whole setup is under 60$ for example.
So 100$ should be more than enough, extra left over money, rather get some balls and coaching.

Thank you Tony, you helped me save nearly 100$ :) Do you think classic Sriver will be good? By the way, where can I buy your KTL combination?

I think you first need to find a shop - is there any in your country?
And then see what they have - can choose from there.

Last thing you want is international shipping price to be higher than your total bat cost :)
