Ariel was born in Fremont CA, in the SF bay area, East bay to be exact. I believe she still lives here because she trains at ICC in Milpitas. Timothy Wang and Lily Zhang also trains at ICC. They are all from the bay area. Cheers

Looking forward to a rematch between Ariel and LXX. I believe Ariel gave LXX a scare in 2012 London Olympics, almost causing the biggest upset in women's single losing a close battle.

Haha it is. Yeah I agree, it will be really interesting to see how she gets on! I imagine even the practice for her will be amazing! She will improve a lot from this!

Totally agree with you Dan. Just practicing on the Chinese team, she will grow and improve for sure. I used to see her play quite a bit at ICC before and after the Olympics...at the time, she definitely has the potential and the skills, but unfortunately she needs to also work on her mental toughness. Training in China will boost her confidence greatly and hopefully help her with her mental state as she plays against tougher opponents. Maybe USA will have a better chance next Olympics if she keeps this up.

Ah! I think this is not the super league... it is the league next to the super league. It is called 甲A in Chinese, but I don't know how to translate that in English... Maybe we can refer to it as the 1A league because 甲 means 1 or 1st something like that.

Yes I think too! it's like in France, we have ProA = super league and ProB = 甲A
