Sorry it is not something I am in the mood to discuss seriously.
Well if you're not in the mood then no problem, you don't have to reply 😂
You can watch the match Wang vs Kallberg and see what Kallberg got faulted for. The point is visibility even when the ball is in the air. It should never at any point be obstructed by the body. This is baked into the rules, if you disagree that is fine.
I don't think you read my post properly. This is not something we disagree on.
But this is not something that deserves a long conversation.
Strange comment.
Again, if you don't want to discuss, no problem.
But then why even respond??
I would disagree. The service issues pop up in so many games regarding so many of the top pros.
It is certainly something worthy of discussion imo.
You not being in the mood is you talking about you.
That's something entirety different altogether

No. I am not in the mood because the question itself displays a refusal to just do modest investigation into the details and given your posting history, sometimes I can't discuss such things sometimes with you in good faith. You know the issue yet you are asking as if I made some point that needs serious discussion.

No it doesn't.
You're just throwing that in because it suits you to.
I asked the poster of the photo a simple Q. An answer would have furthered my understanding.
It's your who jumped on it pal.

Absolute rubbish.
I presume you meant 'cant' here.

So just because we've had disagreements in the past, how long ago? Years ago? It suits you to say that now.
I could say the same and your posting history has SEVERAL interpretations to it and you have more polarizing opinions, posts and behaviors that have alienated more people than just about anyone else in here so be careful in your glass house eh.

You've obviously jumped on my post looking for an argument here, no the other way around.

Stay out of it if you don't want to discuss, simples.

From PingPongAfrica:
Before the women’s team tie between Chinese Taipei and South Korea at the 2026 World Team Table Tennis Championships in London, star player Cheng I-Ching was reportedly involved in a distressing incident during a pre-match security check.

According to reports from Taipei-based journalist Hsu Ming-li and team officials, Cheng I-Ching triggered a metal detector and was asked to undergo additional screening. It is alleged that during this process, she was inappropriately touched by a security staff member, an incident that left her emotionally affected and ultimately prevented her from taking part in the match.

Her coach, Yeh Kuo-chin, is said to have immediately raised concerns with the International Table Tennis Federation, calling for a clear response and a full investigation into the matter.

Following discussions with event officials, it was reportedly agreed that the security personnel involved would be removed from all duties for the remainder of the tournament. An internal review of CCTV footage is expected, and if the allegations are confirmed, further legal action may follow. Organisers are also expected to issue a formal apology to the Chinese Taipei delegation and the player.

Absolutely disgusting, if true.

Okay. I think others can judge given Inmade the same comment to another poater who made a similar point to yours. You can have the final word if you need it. I want this thread to stay focused on the tournament. Than you.

When delivering their expert opinions , some of ITTF URC officials did speak out against the lately proposed changes to the Service Rule, finding it "overly restraining" on players.

NEW SERVICE RULE 2.6.4.5 IS UNDERWAY.

Instead , an alternative Rule formulation was put forth, as follows. Those are two rule wordings to be across the board here ITTF AGM 2026

v. [1] 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 the rearmost 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘳'𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥.

v. [2] When the ball is struck it shall not be father back from the net than the rearmost part of the server's head.

Yes, we do welcome this newly proposed formulation of the service rule, as this is to eventually prevent players from delivering the hidden services oftentimes; at the same time this still allows a variety of forhand services to remain in the game.

Yes, players should adapt their service action to the new rule, let's say players will have to give up tossing the ball at the very margin of the table end line, and so on.
Hidden services is a foul trick and must be eradicated from the sport, anyway.

Fair play first, here we stand.

Then if you've a bone to pick with me, don't do it in the Tournament thread.
You're the one who was derailing it.
And please drop the holier than thou approach in offering 'the last word', it is really getting very old.
All of a sudden the situation you created is beneath you, more convenient posturing.
I have nothing more to say.
