If Kanak played the young FZD 5 or more years ago ago, he sure would change his view. Just look at the upcoming youngster WRB, most of us will be impressed on how powerful his shots are and the young FZD exerted more power than WRB.

The fact is as a player matured and established through years of competitions, he rarely goes all out on his shots anymore, instead, he goes on consistency and control, especially against unfamiliar new players. That's the current playing style of FZD, or pretty much most established players.

Consistency is the most important attribute for a pro to sustain a long term successful career.

The best example? Ma Long, the GOAT, the common view by most fans and players.

True that. Wang Liqin and Wang Hao also stormed into the scene with the tornado-style spray, only then to become the most stable serial topspinners. Ma Long was quite the same, with his early 10s performance being nothing but relentless attacks from both wings. Same about FZD and WCQ.
I can only name ZJK (thoughtful) and Ma Lin (explosive) as examples, whose styles more or less remained over the years since the early pro entries.

Olympics and ITTF events are different I believe. I think United Kingdom/Great Britain exists for Olympic events and that Hursey will be part of some British team with Tintin as you desire. Soccer is an exception and I am sure people Pl e from Britain understand the nuances better but yes for Olympics they should be GBP team. I think they finally got good enough to make it interesting though with all this XT stuff, who knows...

As a Serbian I really hope woman's team goes through the knock out stage. I love watching Aneta Maksuti play, she plays clean and has a very admirable amount of power on her loops
