I coin it the Togami's Law.

MT F
JPN 0-3 CHN
M3 Togami 1-3 LSD (-9, -5, 7, -9)
G4 20, 22 Togami served off the table, 26, 36, 37 dead net for LSD, 67, 68, 88, 810, 910, 911

This one calls for its own post.

MT Grp2
JPN 2-1 FRA
M3 Togami 2-3 Coton (6, -4, 10, -9, -12)
G5 1213 the WTTC 2022 MT SF Togami struck again and didn't even serve on the damn table!
Retire, Togami! The same old Coton already gave him the chance blowing 2 game points in G3.
MT QF
JPN 2-0 GER
M3 Togami 1-3 Franziska (-6, -9, 8, -7)
G4 48 Togami served into the net, 49, 79, 711
"Retire" ain't cutting it now...

Just most felt China is in her most vulnerable state for a very long period, and they even lost twice in group stage, almost unheard of. Yet, in the final facing the strongest Japanese team in recent years, the result is still a resounding 3:0, as if life is just as usual.

French team should feel a little ease after seeing Japan just got swept by the team the French almost beat.

Told you so 😅
Gotta hand it to ya, you were right.
I couldn't see it at all.
And someone else in here even posted to not count LJK out at 0-2 V Alexis, I thought that was a well timed joke, until 20 minutes later and he won 3-2 😂
They grew into the competition in fairness and it was LJK who won it for them. Those were points the other team were counting on!
Once they lost those they had no chance.
Congratulations to China 🤝

I’m going to miss LJK when he retires. He had said this would be his last Teams championships. I’ve seen his comebacks since many years ago (and more than once), but this tournament will go down as his greatest legacy.

He’s also very much loved by fans in China too. His nickname (besides Big Fatty) is Sweetie (甜甜). He will be really missed

Proving once again that all this talk about the most spin is useless. It's all about who is more consistent putting the back on the table.
You have it backwards. The Chinese approach dictates that spin brings you consistency and safety. In fact the Chinese term for adding spin is to add insurance (safety).

WCQ finishes 10-0, the only man with 10 wins (Tomo and Kirill had 9). If there had been a 4th match, Tomo would've played at least 50 games in the tournament.
Miwa was 10-0 until losing to SYS (who finished 9-0). Both Miwa and Bernie played 37 games, the most for women (unless I'm missing something).

He played the basic against Alexi and Hari, whoever lands more is the winner. He was Boko Boko so bad in all aspects he just let it go and play it safe and controlled.

This is a really confused statement when Liang Jingkun is reputed to be the heaviest spin player on the CNT. The spin no longer wins points directly as often, it juat keeps you extremely consistent under pressure.

Fun fact.

For the past 3 editions, China has always won in straight matches in the men's team final after a grueling semifinal, as in WTTC 2001 (SF CHN 3-2 KOR, F CHN 3-0 BEL). WTTC 2022 (SF CHN 3-2 JPN, F CHN 3-0 GER), WTTC 2024 (SF CHN 3-2 KOR, F CHN 3-0 FRA) and WTTC 2026 (SF CHN 3-1 FRA, F CHN 3-0 JPN)

Coincidentally, Liang Jingkun won in a similar fashion (and twice) as Liu Guozheng did in WTTC 2001.
