Hello everyone,

Need your kind opinions.
Want to change BH rubber on my second setup: BLutenkirsche Aurora Shield (Hexagonal) with Rakza Z max on FH (which is doing wonders with this blade) and Joola Vizon on BH (not helping).
Playing style on BH side: defensive blocking, punching/counter-punching, playing chops and occasionally playing banana flicks.
Level: Inter/Amateur
A club fellow suggested Fastarc G1 as it's similar to Gear Hyper on my primary setup BH. Another suggested Rakza 7 Soft would suit my style and won't be a drastic change as I'm already using softer sponge on this blade (Joola Vizon). I'm confused, pls assist.
Thanks

Is asking for more opinions going to make it less confusing?

OK that being said, if you're still adamant about getting advice:
Why two setups? Do you want a similar backup or do you want two different rackets?

Rakza Z and Sieger Pk50 aren't wildly different. So changing your BH to something closer to your primary bat makes sense.

Fastarc G-1 is not like Gear Hyper at all.
Joola Vizon is a rubber used on pre-made rackets, no? Maybe it can be bought separately.

G-1 is a fine rubber for one, I would not really consider Rakza z or Pk50. (isn't Pk50 discontinued?)
But maybe the Rakza 7 soft or Rakza x soft arr a better choices after Vizon, or Yinhe Moon 12 Medium soft M-, Victas Swat, Stiga Mantra Control would be better. These are fairly light rubbers too, would compensate the heavy Rakza Zon FH side.

Cheers Tyce, I agree, more suggestions would just confuse more.

The other setup's just a backup, sometimes use in practice sessions. Since the two blades are quite different, I'm not aware of any new rubber that works well with that combo, which is why I'm a bit hesitant about going for G1. Haven't come across anyone yet who uses G1 or R7 Soft on an Aurora, so can't really say how they'd perform.

If you're looking for a blocking and punching rubber, R7 Soft is not it; too soft. The regular Rakza 7 is widely considered a stable blocking rubber and has great grip so it should be usable for bananas, though I don't know how well it punches. I expect it does fine, though.

I've had great success with Stiga Mantra Pro M for blocking, punching, and flat-hitting, but flicks can be difficult (though not impossible, you just have to be precise).

Xiom Vega Korea is also a good all-round BH rubber. It does all of those things you want pretty well but none of them exceptionally. It has just enough speed to be dangerous. It's a great intermediate rubber.

thanks Zwill
Yeah, PK50 has sadly been discontinued.. and very interesting to know that G1 isn't like Gear-Hyper, seems I'm totally unaware of G1 performance
