  1. Badgers on Tour!

Great question, one I've asked @NextLevel before as I really don't know (and struggle to understand some of the USATT ratings at times). I know 2000 is thrown out as the magic number, and I'd like to think, on average, we are higher than that? I dunno, maybe 2200? You likely have a much better...
  2. Badgers on Tour!

And there's me channelling that "Do you not know who I am?!" sort of energy! 😂 Valid point (although, again, I'll stress that the TT is secondary to simply finding good clubs in Europe). I did a little video a while back (for this forum), to showcase what we ask for when we say "is there any...
  3. Badgers on Tour!

The Ovtchorav ALC is being retired this week! The "Badger Blade" from SDC should be arriving on Friday! Are you coming over to Europe so we can have a match!?
  4. Badgers on Tour!

Do you have any recommended clubs? We'll likely stick to one country, but happy to travel across it to visit different clubs/see parts of the country. We'll probably do 3 clubs in the week!
  5. Badgers on Tour!

That's the million dollar question! Let's get some obvious ones out of the way..... Pro's.... Not quite 😂 Give us time! Beginners - Again, not our level. Our team would play in the top amateur local league across the UK. It's a big guess as to how that translates in Europe, and how...
  6. Badgers on Tour!

To add to the above..... If anyone knows of any clubs (European) that are worth visiting (even if we can't organise a friendly), please let me know. We'd love to go to some of the nicer "purpose built" table tennis centres!
  7. Badgers on Tour!

Hey TTD family! My UK based team is looking for some European clubs to play against in September 2025 (dates to be confirmed!) We have absolutely no preference as to where to go, so I’m looking for suggestions of European clubs who would be happy to have a friendly match next year! We are...
  8. Rubbers for Ovtcharov Innerforce ALC ?

Hi Sumitkpaul, It will pair very well (but honestly, very rarely will a rubber pair badly with a blade....) What's your level though? It will be fast!
  9. Clean ball opponent vs Junky opponent

Isn't this the same as every Junior ever? Looks fantastic against the "traditional" top spin type play, but then looks AWFUL against an unconventional player (pips, chops, pushes etc). The only way for your friends to get better here is to train and put that training into those matches. The...
  10. Do Professional players apply their rubbers?

But are you saying the method contributed to the strings feeling different, or it was just one of those things? My understanding (feel free to correct me!) is that with re stringing a racket, it’s about the strings and tension. In theory, any competent stringer should do it the same. If it...
  11. Do Professional players apply their rubbers?

But with strings, it’s black and white. You’ve got preferred tension, string type etc - there is no chance that someone does something slightly different. With glueing a bat, if I told 10 people to glue up my bat with 2 layers of glue, all 10 people would do it slightly differently. China...
  12. Do Professional players apply their rubbers?

As Just a guess, but stringing a racket needs a much bigger (not portable) machine. Table tennis bats can be made up very easily, with little equipment. Also…. Typically, stringed racket sports will have more money in the sport, so you end up with dedicated jobs like stringing a racket...
  13. Table Tennis Badgers!

Appreciate it! Have a follow back for your troubles….. 😊
  14. Table Tennis Badgers!

Amazing! Was that at Gloucester? I think Matt was there as well. Benji is our least experienced player, but he'll be flying after a few years at the top level!
  15. Table Tennis Badgers!

Much appreciated! We'll make sure to follow back any budding supporter!
  16. Table Tennis Badgers!

Hello TTD! This is a shameless plug, so if you aren't feeling helpful, please happily skip this thread! 😁 As some of you may remember, I set up a new team playing in the Northampton Premier League last year (Bugbrooke Badgers). We had our own team kit made up, and this year, I've got a custom...
  17. Cut Weight of Dignics 09C and 05 on 158 X 152 mm Blade

Hard to tell. Looks like Bluestar weighs 50g cut (assume it's on a standard 157 X 150 but it doesn't say). Which puts it about 1 to 2g heavier than Dignics 05 and the same weight as Dignics 09C.... But there's some guesswork there.
  18. Cut Weight of Dignics 09C and 05 on 158 X 152 mm Blade

As the title suggests...... Does anyone have the cut weight of each of these rubbers on a blade measuring 158 X 152? It saves me taking mine off to weigh them! 😅
  19. SDC Handmade Blades

Couple of questions on this Sergio. 1. How accurately can you make the weight/balance? 2. What's your margin for error? If a customer says, "I want it 90g", at what point do you accept it's too heavy or light? + or - 5g?
  20. Fancy blades are just not worth it

Sponsorship and familiarity (on the whole). It's a vicious circle.... Junior player wants to play like hero..... So they use the same equipment (for blade, let's take the Viscaria). Junior player turns pro, and gets a sponsorship. Option A - Sponsored by brand they use (Butterfly) and...
