  1. New Sanwei rubber - first look

That's great news. This is probably my most wanted rubber for now especially since i don't boost rubbers. Plan to glue this on the forehand
  2. switching from alc to allwood?

Really echo this point about paying more attention to shot construction. I had to switch from my faster Stiga Arctic Wood to a Yasaka Sweden Extra and the slower setup there forced me to work on more placement type shots to fashion an attack instead of going in more offensively.
  3. Blade/Rubbers for 5yr old

    @yogi - That'll be nice and easy then :)
  4. Blade/Rubbers for 5yr old

For my 6 yr old girl I set up a Sanwei M8 with kokutaku blutenkirche 868 training rubbers. Cheap and cheerful
  5. Quick question - what are the differences between Yinhe m201 and Yinhe 970xx-K

Looking to get a new blade and more or less settled on either the Yinhe M201 or the Yinhe 970XX-KLC . Also sort of considering the Yinhe 970XX-ALC. Anyone know the differences? Got a friend with the 970xx-klc and have had a quick knock already so will try his blade some more. Also picked up a...
  6. Help me decide on my new purchase

I actually get this type of question quite a lot and never advise spending more than £50. My go-to build for those transitioning from prebuilt bats tends to be a Yinhe N11 with either Yinhe galaxy 9000e on both sides or Yinhe Mercury II on both sides. Cheap and cheerful.
  7. New Sanwei rubber - first look

I just saw Spinnier's post too - https://twitter.com/spinnier_com/status/1229770201991909377?s=19 Looking forward to May!
  8. DHS Hurricane 3 NEO replacement

Surprised I haven't seen a recommendation for the Tibhar Hybrid K2. Plays like a boosted Neo Hurricane 3. More catapult and more speed so it's easier to use in terms of not needing so much energy compared to the neo.
  9. Single Ply hinoki blades

e Oh no :( that's a terrible thing to happen... and I see a previously lovely Senkoh 1 in the pictures too. I've had a Senkoh 1 for over 10 years before it cracked, and the replacement is still going strong after 10 years though I haven't used it as often in recent years since I started using a...
  10. New Sanwei rubber - first look

Great write up! I'm still really looking forward to it's official release since I feel it bridges the gap between tacky Chinese-style rubbers with dead-ish sponges and the modern ESN rubbers with strong catapult effects. Great for someone like me who find ESN rubbers generally too bouncy on the...
  11. Your Top 3 FH and BH Rubbers

FH: 1) Sanwei Target Pro Blue Sponge 2) H3N Provincial Orange Sponge 3) Tibhar Hybrid K2 BH 1) Xiom Vega Pro 2) Tibhar EL-S 3) Tenergy 05
  12. Curious about DIY / Customised table tennis blades including custom clones

That's really helpful thanks! Was curious enough to want to try but since I didn't want to potentially waste money, I wanted to see what other people's experiences were
  13. Curious about DIY / Customised table tennis blades including custom clones

I've noticed a couple more online shops offering fully customised table tennis blades, for example Playa Ping Pong on AliExpress: https://playapingpong.aliexpress.com/store/group/DIY-TT-Rackets/319599_506770285.html?spm=a2g0o.store_home.pcShopHead_6227769.4 And Sunnywise (Hong Kong) through...
  14. Problem with gluing Rakza 7

I suggest using a non-stick pan cleaning sponge or a very gentle grade sandpaper to rub on the surface of your blade. I also suggest using another layer or two and after gluing the rubber, use a roller or a cylinder-shaped item to go over the edges of the rubber.
  15. New Sanwei rubber - first look

Don't know I'm afraid. I haven't used the Ultraspin before though I've been tempted to try
  16. New Sanwei rubber - first look

Review complete! I've updated the first post with it now :)
  17. Very Light Inverted Rubbers on Market (may update over time)

Isn't the 729 Lightening FC really light too?
  18. Just curious how many Penholders are on TTD?

Sweet blade! I love my 1 ply blades but I've got about n+1 blade too many! My Butterfly Senkoh 1 and a lovely Xiom Seung Power Hinoki (Try saying that three times fast...) are more than enough for my Jpen needs, I mean, wants. :p I have a Sanwei Target National on the Butterfly blade FH with a...
  19. Facebook table tennis shop

Tiny small Malaysian FB store getting ultra rare items when Tenryu and Presports exist? Maybe buying from Prott.vip and other sites to resell for Malaysian market?
  20. New Sanwei rubber - first look

Sent with a table? :D I've tested the rubber surface and it's a non-tacky rubber. I wonder how it differs from the older Sanwei Gears rubber. Gluing it on to start my testing tomorrow
