  1. Blade sealing w968 help

I recommend sealing every blade with soft top ply (spruce, Limba, abachi, koto). I would use water based lacquer, spread it evenly with a sponge (you can use the sponge for the glue) and then wipe it of after 10 seconds with a cotton cloth. With this procedure you only seal the very top of the...

  3. SDC Handmade Blades

Nice blades as always, thanks for sharing! Did you ever experiment with 2 different sides in a blade? I have the idea to use Cork and balsa on one side and a rather classic composition on the other side like abachi, alc and koto. I wonder if you have to different speed ratings for each side or...

  5. Dignics 09C on an Allwood blade

I felt the same when I had it on a vis style outer blade and K3 was much easier to play with. Not on my soft limba blade- it is so consistent and safe!
  6. Dignics 09C on an Allwood blade

  7. Dignics 09C on an Allwood blade

I tried d09c on Viscaria like blades and didn't like it at all. Then I put it on a self made inner carbon outer limba blade and it feels great, became my main racket immediately. It's 80g soft carbon and it plays essentially like a 5 ply allwood...

  10. Aliexpress Singles Day 2024

I can tell you thats why I started to make my own blades- everything you need is there ready to buy. I took the viscaria composition as a blue print and changed some variables here and there. This is where the real hell of EJing is starting 🤪

Battle III 39° black D09c 1,9 black C1 super thick red 10x Kiri 3mm planks (core Material) I have a bandsaw to make my own, but the kiri I have is relatively heavy so I ordered some and hoping for lower weights...
  12. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

I wonder why the LAC keeps getting more expensive. I bought mine some month ago for 16€ and now its 22-24 and even on singles day its still 20€...
  13. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

On YT there is a video with this ratings (review about rhyzen gtx and battle iii). I'd say the gtx is spinnier than the arthur China when boosted. Also the rating of d09c is to low for my taste. I can't find Infos about boosting, so these ratings aren't worth much I'd say? I ordered BIII 39°...
  14. Which Chinese players would have the highest peak ELO rating all time?

I started a topic weeks ago where I asked if its possible to let a KI calculate matches between former and actual champions. Wouldn't that be nice?
  15. 1 ply Hinoki Clear Epoxy Around prevents breaking

It makes a huge difference and the stability more balanced in both direction. But what I actually meant by horizontal is what you see in the picture. The orientation of the wood is like a center ply but the grain isn't vertical if you look from the edge.

  17. Wingspan blade

I made a wingspan blades for myself and tried it a few times- it is great! First try was against my main training partner who has 120 points more and is half the age of me. I normally win 3-4 of ten matches vs him and lost the first one 2:3 then won 3:0 and lost 1:3 in the 3rd. After this first...
  18. 1 ply Hinoki Clear Epoxy Around prevents breaking

I didn't like the vibrations of 1 ply Western red cedar (9,5mm) but built blades of it with horizontal grain which was much better in this Departement but lacked feeling on the other hand. Now I am very impressed by 1 ply Kiri blades which are much more balanced. You have much of bouncing and...
  19. 1 ply Hinoki Clear Epoxy Around prevents breaking

Ive built some 1 ply blades from Western red cedar and kiri and I use to apply an edge banding from hard wood (walnut wenge or something) and this adds more stability in transverse direction which for me makes the blades more balanced. I'd also say this reduces the risk of braking along the...
