  1. Hello everyone

Welcome back to our nice sport. I re-started 2 years ago - after 35 years 😎
  2. TSP Balsa 6.5 (old model)

Give the Illusion Killer from Tibhar a try, if you can get one. For me, it was a progress, not a hard switch. And with looping, you get much more feeling.
  3. New rubbers for young athlete

As a former coach (kids), I would strictly go for a moderate setup. At her age, the setup shouldn't dominate her style and therefore limiting her development. It's hard to give special hints out of your description only. Are you able to post some videos? If she likes to play mid-distance, she...
  4. Xiom Vega vs Jekyll&Hyde

Ok, here I'm back with the need of recommendations. As you can see in my profile, I changed my blade to the Tibhar Illusion Killer. Keeping my beloved H3 on FH, I started testing the new blade with my old J&H (with damaged sponge) on BH. Tonight I will give my H3/37 a try, but I think, with the...
  5. TSP Balsa 6.5 (old model)

Since a few weeks, I replaced the 6.5 with a Tibhar Illusion Killer. Thats better for me. The balsa core still gives a "tensor" with stronger strokes. And now, my topspin got way more dangerous. Still with H3 BS on forehand, but I returned to the Xiom J&H to my backhand.
  6. How does Timo Boll win at his age?

I agree. But yesterday (final) I got worried, cause it seemed to turn against Timo. The match against Lin was much more dominant. My feeling - sometimes a lefty/lefty gets strange. I was wondering, if Timo was using a new blade ... his hard strokes sounded much brighter
  7. Rubbers for TSP Balsa blades

For me, the combo with Hurricane 3 is amazing (6.5, 1st series!).
  8. How to reglue a recently glued and boosted H3N on a new Blade

Be happy with your experinces. I mainly have the same. The completely clean blade depends on the outer veneer and a possible sealing.
  9. Looking to improve my legs muscles

… and also do the core moves/weight transfer with a weight. Is „Medicine ball“ the correct translation?
  10. Xiom Jekyll & Hyde Rubbers

Hm - but this didn’t happen to other rubbers …
  11. Xiom Vega vs Jekyll&Hyde

Before, I played O5 Europe and gave O7 Europe a try. O7 has softer a sponge and topsheed, which gave a more bouncy feeling to me. Before the Omegas, I started with Vega Europe, which was the most bouncy rubber - unplayable for me, after returning to TT after more than 30 years.
  12. Xiom Vega vs Jekyll&Hyde

    I used the V47.5, right
  13. Xiom Vega series

Use the links I posted on Aug 25. Xiom is describing clearly
  14. Seeking Equipment Advice for Rapid Improvement in Table Tennis

I don’t agree to your part, related to “avoid Chinese rubbers”. As I know, Chinese kids start with hard rubbers. And as you correctly mentioned, they need a proper body work (weight transfer). Why should a beginner hide this? I believe, starting with good body work will give better results on...
  15. Xiom Jekyll & Hyde Rubbers

I just stumbled into this thread. I liked to play the V47.5 on my BH. But one day I had to take it off from my DHS 301X and a big mess came up. When I started to take of the old glue (Revolut 3), it damaged the sponge hardly. Finally, the sponge was something like “dark side of the moon” 🤬. No...
  16. Xiom Vega vs Jekyll&Hyde

I used J&H for a while on my backhand. I was pleased with a more „calm down“ character, less bouncy. It has speed, if you give power to your stroke.
  17. WTT Champions Frankfurt 2023

Who, from where, is able to watch? With my German YT account nothing was streamed (only short consumptions of the German players from the DTTB). As I’m in Argentina right now, with the lokal account the match of WCQ was offered via the WCQ-Fanclub. But also, no stream from the event published by...
  18. Supplements to stay healthy and improve your game

As I read several veggies, I need to hold up the keto flag :devilish: I'm not a strict follower, but I'm doing "low-carb, high-fat". Since then, I have less power drains, lost several pounds (no, I wasn't fat before) and move better. Related to supplements, I take care to get enough minerals...
  19. Why do only Chinese players use DHS rubbers?

You are completely right. Korean top players without H3 are the minority meanwhile. The Japanese players have been named too. Even Kao from Taiwan uses H3! I got astonished, cause my idea was, on "political correctness" it was banned in Taiwan. 247tabletennis has a long list of top player...
  20. TSP Balsa 6.5 (old model)

Now I had the chance to test the direct follower, the (now labeled) Victas 6.5 (https://revspin.net/blade/tsp-balsa-65-off.html) and I have to agree on the comment of "superspin" at revspin. It's absolutely different to the original (https://revspin.net/blade/tsp-balsa-plus-65.html). Even with a...
