  1. How to remove the glue from the rubber's sponge?

Thanks, I tried this with no success. I ended up using White Spirits but it was a really messy job. It kinda turns the glue into a wet mess so you still need to rub it off with something kinda carefully. It did do a better job than using a ball because the glue is less likely to tear the sponge...
  2. How to remove the glue from the rubber's sponge?

How do you do it with an Iron? Any technique? I just imagine the glue sticking to the underside of the iron and ending up with two problems.
  3. Short review of Glayzer 09c

G09c is started to grow on me, have completely changed my game for it though, not sure that's so great.
  4. How to remove the glue from the rubber's sponge?

So Joola is rubbish as well? Feck, I couldn't find anywhere to buy revolution glue that didn't take a month to deliver.
  5. How to remove the glue from the rubber's sponge?

I tried acetone and the only change was it made it even more difficult to remove, kinda slippy. I'll try paint thinners when I remove the other rubber. I used BTY Free Chack II to put one rubber on but have since bought Joola Lex glue as it states it's easy to remove.
  6. Short review of Glayzer 09c

Sure but I'd advise anyone to go with something different at that price point, lots of options that are much much better.
  7. Short review of Glayzer 09c

I've had the same experience. I bought it after taking off a T05 because I wanted more control but the glayzer09C is really dead compared to anything else I've tried in the club. Even a 2 yr old rubber has more spin.
  8. How to remove the glue from the rubber's sponge?

Trying the ball method on a T05, don't know what glue was used here, was made up by Tees Sport in the UK.
  9. Returning to TT after 20 yrs, blade/rubber advice

Yes, I think a blade change is something I'd like to try soon. My concern is regluing the rubbers. The glue that was on the T05 seems pretty thick, not sure how to remove that (or if I should), I'm used to speed glueing where you just reglued over the top. Any advice for regluing with these...
  10. Returning to TT after 20 yrs, blade/rubber advice

Thanks and yes, I think there's a lot of potential on the BH side. From watching Darko Jorgic play I'd say his BH is as fast or faster than his FH, the fact he sometimes finishes points on his FH side with his BH says it all. I feel the same about my FH vs BH. Time to rip some BH's to see if...
  11. Returning to TT after 20 yrs, blade/rubber advice

Thanks, makes complete sense. I'd love to try out the Dignics but seeing an unused T05 sitting on my desk makes me wonder about spending 00's of pounds of unused equipment. Blade wise, would you have a view on a good time to move to a carbon blade vs changing rubbers?
  12. Returning to TT after 20 yrs, blade/rubber advice

Well maybe that's the issue, I'd say my BH punch is faster than anything I can achieve on my FH side. I can achieve a much faster bat speed with elbow and wrist on BH than with FH. Maybe that will come with more fitness/practice. I can hit the Glayzer hard but because it doesn't have spin as...
  13. Returning to TT after 20 yrs, blade/rubber advice

Thanks, in hindsight maybe I should have tried just flipping the bat if folks are saying T05 is ok for forehand. My backhand technique might just be a lot more solid than my FH returning after so long. The change to the recent rubbers really brought my % of opening shots up on both wings and...
  14. Returning to TT after 20 yrs, blade/rubber advice

Thanks, I'm surprised that T05 FX is too soft for FH, it's playing really well at the moment for me. As for G09C being too hard, maybe I'm using the wrong terms or I just haven't used enough of the new equipment but to me it feels soft, not hard. Maybe I'm confusing it with the 'catapult' of the...
  15. Returning to TT after 20 yrs, blade/rubber advice

(Apologies if this is a double post) I've started playing TT again after 20 yrs away. I started back with a Petr Korbel, T05 FH and T05 FX BH. After a few months I decided the T05 was just too sensitive to incoming spin for me at the moment so I've switched it out for a Glayzer 09C and flipped...
  16. Returning to TT after 20 years, equipment advice for new ball and new style of play

Hi all, I'm playing TT again after 20 yrs, loving it. I started back with a Petr Korbel, T05 FH and T05 FX BH and found it very different to where I left the game, I think a lot has to do with the 'new' plastic ball. I've since swapped out the T05 FH for a Glayzer 09C and flipped the bat to be...
