  1. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

Yes, my initial engagement on this site was hostile, and I see why the engagement is low. I was going to write a long post highlighting things to improve this blog site.... starting with don't turn it into an OP vs Moderator thread.... A free content provider vs a person of authority.....how...
  2. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

I think it is important to remember the commercial side of it all. Players are influenced by dollars and royalties. So I would take a review from a Pro and implement the old C.R.A.P Test. What is very apparent from this post is people obsession with equipment and loyalty to their brands. It is...
  3. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

Nothing, but then you are not the moderator.....get the point.
  4. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

B Because this site has a moderate that must be right, and must dominate any discussion so that they are right....
  5. My Race Tournaments in Germany

I think you just need to start trying things to develop your more attacking shot. In training just try and finish the point earlier. Even try just putting about 10% more into all your shots and just keep increasing over time so your average shot has a bit more speed to pressure your opponent...
  6. My Race Tournaments in Germany

I bet he pays you back. It is his game style.. he will place, place and place working towards the edge and he is definitely making sure you are not focused and drawn into his game. Hitting down the line or to his elbow is not going to work when you are being so passive. You are ralling him...
  7. How to develop a style and be more agressive?

Tr Drill your serves with a kill shot as the third ball. The game is about dictating the point from your server. Literally drill every serve you have, learn where the ball is most likely to be returned to and drill your kill shot for that serve. Change the spin on the serve and locations etc...
  8. How to develop a style and be more agressive?

Yep, if you are passive because you are worried about the ball not hitting the table....maybe review your setup to something that will bring more confidence. Haha shot watching... something I can be guilty of in low intensity doubles matches....many social media pictures with me standing...
  9. My Race Tournaments in Germany

That first player is the type of player that draws people into his trap. He is a good placement player and all around consistent placement around the table. This type of player will expose you going back and keep you out of position to attack and force errors. They also play the mental game to...
  10. My Race Tournaments in Germany

Enjoyed watching your games. Plenty more positive shots particularly in the 2nd and 3rd game. Last guy looked like good fun to play against, had better movement then I would have initially expected. Way more positive play by yourself which is a great outcome. Stay positive and play your shots...

And ag and again at the 4:06 and 4:14 mark. Play this positive FH more.
  12. My Race Tournaments in Germany

Still watching but just had to point out the 3:50 mark. You play a FH shot that you should be playing all the time. If it bounces up, kill it. Now back to watching :)
  13. New to PIPS! Some questions!

H3 is that rubber that performance in matches. Great rubber and shows with all the marketing hype of gear, some things are still just better.
  14. Best Rubber Setup for Timo Boll ALC? (Coming from Rozena)

I wouldn't say the T05 is physically demanding as it generates speed and spin effortlessly. It has helped this aging body with too many sporting injuries keep going :) But technically...yes a good chance, particularly if they go MAX sponge. But I actually don't think the T05 should be feared...
  15. Best Rubber Setup for Timo Boll ALC? (Coming from Rozena)

Retired Timo has gone back to the T05 on his backhand (Less physically demanding), so maybe start there. Or glayzer if you think the T05 might be too aggressive.
  16. Bright light, white background, white floor tiles

What ball brand is your club using? Maybe worth bringing like a DHS ball for yourself? Would a dark bedsheet taped to the wall help?
  17. Bright light, white background, white floor tiles

I assume it would make it difficult. It would be nice if the people you play with realise this and help you out with trying different balls etc. Would a bed sheet on the wall at the end help reduce the brightness on the ball? Maybe even a different brand of ball. I am looking at a white...
  18. Tenergy 5 1.9mm or 2.1mm?

T05 1.9mm. use it as a transition step so you can still play with control. It is a big jump from the H3, G1 to a max think T05. The 1.9mm is a big upgrade from the G1 as a reference point for you. IMO it is a far better FH then the G1.
