  1. Looking for a Fh Rubber

If you have found someone who will work with you, then perfect..feeding is an art in itself and it is hard to learn..he also plays at the table which seems common for your area based on your videos. The strategy you use for these questions like above is what I drill as is it your opportunity to...
  2. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

By using a different rubber....it is not recommended to use, not that you can't...but this concept seems to be difficult on this page.
  3. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

Got to love a jaded moderator who just shows their true colours. More people like the OP please table tennis daily. The H3 is used because it does not have a catapult effect, leading developing young players to play a full shot with weight transfer using good technique that returns consistency.
  4. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

Lol, clearly you don't understand why lots of kids play with the H3 on the FH...... and yes, and it is not even up for debate. Comparing a sponge activation of a high tacky/dead setup to a low tacky/catapult activation rubber.... Come on...this 101 stuff.
  5. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

It is harder for a young kids to activate a hard rubber. Even more so when the opponent takes the spin or energy off the ball.
  6. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

The argument would be that these kids struggle against the offspeed ball and no spin ball and the D09C makes it even more difficult for them. The D09C is a perfect rubber for short serve to open up to high energy top spin attacks. Not ideal for hesitate players who play passive shots which is...
  7. Looking for a Fh Rubber

I am not sure how much more a person can answer the coaching question.
  8. Looking for a Fh Rubber

Unfortunately trial and error is the only option available to the OP. And this will only work with confidence to try and try again. Personally I think confidence and having direction of what he needs to be thinking in a game and taking this back to his training is the key. He needs to do 1000s...
  9. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

I agree. It is a high performance rubber designed for high performance players. In training drills...you will hit balls like you are the next Dragon of table tennis...match situation is a different story particularly at lower levels when you are dealing with low quality balls.
  10. Looking for a Fh Rubber

The high spin looping balls is a good shot, particularly for exposing players. It has it's place and a good shot to have. Just wouldn't want it to be your go to shot. IMO you see it more in doubles with the positioning issues players have.and getting caught on their heels. I see why you are...
  11. Is there such a thing as too fast equipment at intermediate level?

It comes down to you. Everyone deals with speed and spin differently. I generate lots of speed and spin myself (H3 background) and just recently went to the T05...everyone said the catapult speed effect with my game wouldn't work......just won my first tournament for the year with the new...
  12. Looking for a Fh Rubber

Your BH is very brush and spin focused. Your BH looks more like a slow banana flick in a way. I think your wrist and elbow look unstable, so your initial contact is very soft, and then you can't create a snap in your BH to generate power yourself. IMO, you are not activating your rubber at all...
  13. Looking for a Fh Rubber

Your shot quality has improved across your shots. But IMO it feels like you are just sending the ball back, not finishing the point. "I think it's time I learn more aggressive loops" 100%. The longer the rallies and matches, the better an opponent can find your weakness and exploit it. For...
  14. Bright light, white background, white floor tiles

Hahaha, he won't have any luck in tournaments unless he pushes the visually impaired path... personally I find this part of table tennis strange, ask the opponent and if they are happy with the ball change to Orange then play on IMO.... But I think at his own club people need to be a bit...
  15. Bright light, white background, white floor tiles

That is people just making up rubbish excuses. A legal orange ball has a matte finish on it. The orange ball is there for this very situation, when you have background colour issues. The Orange ball is perfectly legal for tournaments. I would constantly push back, as common sense has to kick in...
  16. Bright light, white background, white floor tiles

This is insane. White walls and tiles...playing with a white ball is crazy. I have very good eyesight and this would drive me insane. Sounds like the tables are old with the reflection but can you play with the orange ball?
  17. Looking for a backhand-punch rubber

Have you tried using your FH rubber as your BH rubber to see if it makes a difference? Reason I ask is the G1 has a long breakin period and given the description of how you play your BH, I expect that you would have a particularly long breakin period compared to your FH. Might be worth...
  18. Looking for a backhand-punch rubber

It is a low catapult rubber still and the rubber itself is a bit harder and more durable then a lot of other rubbers. This is why it has a long breakin period for this rubber.
  19. Is Dignics 09c a better FH or BH rubber?

I think for most players the D09C is a FH rubber. I think this is more to do with the most people part then the abilities of the rubber itself. I think most players will benefit from the high end power and speed that is easier to create on the FH side then the shorter stroke in the BH. If you...
  20. Tenergy 05, Glazer 09c, Vega Pro, Rakza Z, and Hammond Z2.

I would stay away from hard rubbers for now. Going from a R7 to a hard sponge is a dramatic change that can impact confidence in matches. T05 with a 1.9mm sponge. If you go Max sponge thickness it can be too hard to control coming from the R7. The 1.9m is easy to use but brings all the...
