  1. What to replace vega europe with?

Hello! I recently got a spinlord waran from a friend and slapped it on my old intensity nct. For the forehand I put on a slightly used vega europe, max. (edit: my bad, it's 2.0mm) The problem is that I find it lacks grip, I'm used to bluestorm pro now and this is kind of unbearable. Another...
  2. Are players in Europe (US as well) interested in lesser-known Chinese rubbers?

There's also orange sponge provincial. Table tennis world store, forward sport store, global sport store, and a bunch others have it for about 25~30€.
  3. Are players in Europe (US as well) interested in lesser-known Chinese rubbers?

There's a lot of stores on aliexpress selling the old blue sponge provincial hurricane 3, 2.15 and 2.2 I think, honestly, the difference between 2.1 and 2.15 or even 2.2 is non existent, try it out for sure if you like it. It's around 35€ as well, super good price.
  4. Any news and info on Zhang Jike's New donic bluegrip j line?

What company is 08c? Do you mean 09c?
  5. Are worn out Long pips better than new long pips?

Neptune is relatively grippy and slow, more of a defending rubber. Saviga is a well known rubber for blocking, a friend played it in ox. I've heard the ck531 is a normal long pip, middle of the road, like 388d, medium grip and medium spin. And qing should be less grippy, it's advertised as an ox...
  6. Are players in Europe (US as well) interested in lesser-known Chinese rubbers?

It could be because the ball is less spinny now that they think that having less tackiness and increasing speed is what we like in Chinese rubbers. But it's the opposite for me, I liked Chinese rubbers because they gripped the ball like nothing else, when they changed that, all these rubbers...
  7. Are players in Europe (US as well) interested in lesser-known Chinese rubbers?

I've played a bunch of them and now I'm trying the Battle 2 gold. I'd love to have access to all these rubbers but the fact that new iterations of these rubbers, like hurricane 3 have less tackiness, make them useless to me. At that point esn hybrids are better and sometimes even cheaper.
  8. Harimoto alc vs viscaria vs ovcharov alc?

    Alright, thanks for the input.
  9. Harimoto alc vs viscaria vs ovcharov alc?

Oh, then it's closer to normal innerforce layer alc?
  10. Harimoto alc vs viscaria vs ovcharov alc?

So I have been playing with viscaria for some time, my coach has been using the ovcharov alc and a friend wants to try the harimoto alc. How does the harimoto compare to the other 2? Weight distribution and speed? From what I've seen with the viscaria and the ovcharov alc, I think the ovcharov...
  11. What playing style am I ? Genuine question

Probably a general style. Since you mix all sort of techniques, push, topspin, chops, it doesn't indicate anything specific. Probably an advanced amateur style that you see from older players that have been playing for a long time or self taught players that don't follow modern trends and...

  14. How does Timoboll spirit compare with Timoboll ALC & Viscaria

Spirit and tbalc are identical with updated looks. The viscaria is more back heavy. Other than that they're identical in composition.
  15. Sanwei 968?

Maybe @Andrea Jiang knows a thing or two about this.
  16. Stiga Marketing Policy

The problem is that they release a bunch of blades and almost none of them reach target sales. Butterfly and dhs pretty much solved this because bty is the biggest company and dhs just doesn't release many new blades. Stiga has new models almost every year, that they keep selling at...
  17. Ever boosted Thibar Evolution MXP ????

You may find better luck if you put a single layer on the bare sponge. Boosting above a glue layer is nice for Chinese rubbers, but I think that bare sponge is better for factory boosted rubbers.
  18. What exercises for footwork?

Haven't heard of that before, sounds nice.
  19. What exercises for footwork?

I'm doing some research on the topic and I'd like to hear what exercises have worked on you as individual players on our level. Articles are good and all, but most are focused around national level players. 2 areas I'm especially interested in, close lateral movement, and change in legs...
