  1. I am looking for that 'effortless forehand topspin mechanics' tip

Awesome video, thank you for sharing. I realised exactly his point by just experimenting. Looks like a good explanation (Japanese -> Russian translated by AI...but still quite understandable).
  2. Post your latest EJ purchase

With H3 Provincial Blue sponge 40 degrees boosted with 2 layers of Seamoon IT'S A BEAST! Waiting for BH rubber to arrive...
  3. If you are a coach. What equipment would you recommend for beginners?

I recommend getting DHS Wind series blade + KTL/LKT or Kokutaku rubbers. Cheap, can do all spin variations, properly slow but still flexy for topspins, available on AliExpress. If the budget is not a problem, then something allround from Xiom/BTY and Xiom Vega Intro. In my practice working...
  4. Post your latest EJ purchase

I had a lot of blades in recent years :) Wood is wood and all blades are slightly different, finding the right composition suitable for playstyle I think is more important.
  5. Post your latest EJ purchase

DHS 301X is definitely a loopers blade: more flex, less stiff. WIth proper angle ZJK ALC can also be a loopers blade, it's the fact that finding this angle is more dificult.
  6. Post your latest EJ purchase

Replaced my H301X with Zhang Jike ALC. It's faster, behaves very differently and for me it's harder to loop, but easier to play flicks/push the ball with no spin...may be H3 40 degrees is too much for this blade on the FH, waiting for H3 provincial to arrive and test it. Old d09c on the bh works...
  7. Heming Hu on Equipment

With all respect I disagree with him on a topic of what rubbers newbies should be playing with. I can do topspins perfrectly well with Kokutaku rubbers which cost nothing. May be it's less spin, less speed than hurricane/tenergy, but new players definitely shouln't be wasting so much money on a...
  8. Ma Lin Extra Offensive

It's not unpredictable, it's an ok blade, but definitely not for beginners. The hard outer wood doesn't hold the ball much, but if executed correctly it has good potential. I personally didn't like it much, because I enjoy playing with more flexible blades, hence no Viscaria and no YEO, but yes...
  9. DHS H3 and all versions

great technique you have. Any chance you have matches recorded? Would be great to see that FH in play :)
  10. Opinion on some blades.

DHS PG7 and Hurricane 301 definitely have thinner necked handles. I don't like it, but with overgrip these are fine to use. Work well with boosted Hurricane 3 on the FH and whatever on the BH. Xiom Offensive S has great handle. Nittaku Acoustic has small handle as well, Latika, supposedly...
  11. How well would Ma Lin do in these modern times?

Wang Hao wearing jeans would still be top 30
  12. DHS fans unite!

Just wanted to share some experience. Played a lot recently with H3 Prov. orange sponge and compared it directly with H3 commercial on the same blade (Butterfly Innerforce ALC.S). Both rubbers suit this blade amazingly well, but provincial is just much more consistent - blocks and top spins go...
  13. what happened in this match

    20usd is 20usd...
  14. Skyline or H3

Why are you asking? If the question is to decide for yourself, then try it yourself - commercial versions are not expensive. If you're just curious about other's subjective opinions - here goes: Never tried tg3, so speaking about tg2 only. TG2 is definitely superior in short game, I feel like...
  15. Which Hurricane 3 version?

No, you literally are convinced in something, and convincing OTHERS that you're knowledgeable in the field saying: When you're really: @Tony's Table Tennis has very good reputation on this forum and he proved this many times. Just don't spread misinformation based on how glossy the topsheet...
  16. Backhand Rubber for Reverse-Penhold Backhand (rpb)

I love the way Ma Lin played and watched nearly every game on YouTube possible. Unfortunately, through my experience I understood that penhold has major disadvantage: faster BH shots. I know that Felix Lebrun is very good with both sides, but I am not him and my wrist is not capable of doing...
  17. Backhand Rubber for Reverse-Penhold Backhand (rpb)

I had decent success with Xiom Vega X when played penhold recently. I actually absolutely loved it on Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive (YEO) and it was OK on Nittaku S7. Also tried FastArc G-1, this was exactly like you described: the margin for error is so low, needs to be softer. Here's a short...
  18. Which Hurricane 3 version?

Heming Hu also says himself in his videos that whatever he(as DHS sponsored player) receives and we can buy in stores are almost identical, non of us is probably able to notice the difference. I am talking about hurricane 3. And yes, Ma Long would probably still beat everyone on this forum...
  19. Xuperman Powerplay-x: A Rubber by Xu Xin

It should be fine. Funny ITTF has field called 'New' and the value is 'Yes'
  20. DHS fans unite!

Yup DHS #15 is the best, though for glue AliExpress seller uses different type of delivery and it's around 1.5 months of waiting time... Tried Skyline TG2 Blue sponge 39 degrees boosted with 2 layers of seamoon today. It's like TG2 comm. OS but better in every way - more consistent, I feel more...
