  1. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

I use 39 degrees. Can't think of a reason to go with the harder ones.
  2. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

Yeap, that one. Haven't tried the national versions. This one seems good enough.
  3. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

I've been using the Big Dipper Pro Blue Sponge without booster for around a year (I've changed it once) and I would say it's the best rubber I've used. I get a lot of consistency and more than enough speed. And I'm using it on a 7-ply all wood blade, so it's not the blade that's giving me the speed.
  4. Review Yinhe Moon 12 Blue

I found Moon Speed 53 harder in general, but faster. It's a little more difficult to engage and have slow loops, so I like it more for the forehand. But it's pretty nice there.
  5. Yinhe Big Dipper V vs Yinhe Big Dipper

Hey!. I heard the same thing from the fabric as Mocker. BD is been discontinued and BDV is the actual new version (II, III and IV weren't actual succesors, more like different products aimed to different regions). And as he said, it seems to be similar but a bit more tacky.
  6. Thinner sponge rubbers

Japan must certainly be a special market. Their suppliers even have others brand make custom products for them. Yinhe has special products only available for Japanese distributors like the Sun Pro and Jupiter with 0.7mm sponges. They seem to be a fun thing based on the video reviews. But I...
  7. i dont think chinese rubbers do most people any favours

This thread was like someone going to a Cannabis convention to say he thinks beer is better.
  8. EJ dust spraying is killing off valuable TT forum contributors

This is a fun topic. I want in, so here's my two cents. What I think is that this sport has a peculiarity over many others. You can start playing (and it happens often) when you are "old". And with age, comes adult money. So my guess is that the forums (which is not exactly where the younger...
  9. Yinhe euro rubber compared

Mars III is faster. Altough, I'm with Tyce. If you are comfortable with what you have, you should probably keep the same.
  10. Yinhe euro rubber compared

Not really familiar with Palio to give any advice. Not sure on your level, but as an RPB player I can say that I used Mars for a while and it's preaty easy to use. Not the fastest, though.
  11. Yinhe euro rubber compared

Ohhh. In that case, they are completely different rubbers. Jupiter 3 is a DHS Hurricane 3 style rubber. Pretty hard rubber but spinny and rewarding when engaged correctly. Mars 3 is a pseudo euro rubber. It behaves very closely to a slow ESN rubber. Super controlable. Mercury 3 is kind of...
  12. Yinhe euro rubber compared

I understand you are asking in comparison to the "II" version. They are basically different rubbers. The main change is the sponge. It's most notable in the Mars and Mercury, not that much in the Jupiter. Jupiter II was discontinued, though. So the "III Euro/Asia" would be a (faster)...
  13. Rubbers for children at school

My vote is for the Mercury 2. Pretty sure you can buy in bulk to get an even better price. And it's far better than any pre-made.
  14. Comparing Moon Speed 53 to other Yinhe rubbers

Naa, they are just different. MS53 is definitely harder and it shows when you hit. I like it better for forehand. M12 is softer and allows for easier engagement of the topsheet. But it's not worlds apart, they are on the "same scale", I would say.
  15. Comparing Moon Speed 53 to other Yinhe rubbers

My understanding is that there's no difference, it's just a "We sell the Asia in China and Europe in the rest of the world" thing. I might be wrong, though. Regarding the OP question, I think MS53 is pretty much its own thing in the Yinhe catalogue. They still haven't used that sponge on...
  16. The rise of pickleball and padel

Just jumping in, I'll give my two cents. I've been playing TT for over 15 years at this point and consider myself an "above average, yet mediocre" player. I've lately been playing padel for fun, too. I agree with some of the aspects mentioned in the post as to why TT can't explode the same as...
  17. Yinhe Rubber Naming Scheme

Naaaaaa, I've never boosted. Only thinking about investing more than 20 minutes in gluing a rubber annoys me to no end.
  18. Yinhe Rubber Naming Scheme

I'm using Big Dipper Pro, blue sponge and can say I'm very happy with it. Kind of works like Hurricane, that Pro is the provincial version. BD IV it's not really the best, it's just different. IIRC, it's a rubber from a different factory that they bought and rebranded. You can try the normal...
  19. Yinhe Jupiter 2 Blue Sponge

What I gather is that he could have a "custom rubber" still on production. There were some variants for the Japanese market (I remember a Jupiter with 0.7mm sponge). And cheers!!! I'll have a Ferne' to honour the greetings =)
  20. Yinhe Jupiter 2 Blue Sponge

Jupiter 2 has been discontinued by the factory. If you can buy one, it's an old rubber and I wouldn't really recomment that. I haven't tried LAA, but I did tried Jupiter 8 Tour in M+ and M-. The M- version is barely tacky and honestly seems nice as a BH rubber. But personally, I would go with...
