  1. Difficulty in rubber gluing to blade

I have owned the Andro Synteliac VCO and the surface was not any smoother than other blades. Did you get this new and asked for a blade lacquering service or did you get this second hand after someone had butchered the lacquering of the blade? Try a different glue in case the one you were using...
  2. Rubbers on Stiga Inspira Hybrid Carbon

The Stiga Mantra Pro series are good rubbers and I use the Stiga Mantra Pro H on my backhand and it is quite linear and controllable but still good performing and was/is available from aliexpress at around USD $32. I have the Mantra Pro XH but have not had the chance to try it yet for my FH.
  3. Amultart: most underrated Blade out there?

Sorry but one of my EJ friends at the club saw it and basically took it from me and metaphorically shoving an insufficient amount of money in my face. I wasn't using it anyways but it was part of my memorable blade collection and since we've been trading blades I let it go as a favor. I'll be...

The shit show in the 10 hour video start after 9:52. Drama of the highest order. Maneuvre and counter maneuvre. Intrigue. The final result and the coordinated bitching, scramble to unmask the secret voters that tipped the scale. A splendid show that is almost as good as a table tennis match...
  5. Is D09C the ultimate, the holy grail of rubber?

Ultimate, holy grail? No. D09C was invented so that non Chinese National Team players can have something that could compete with player version National H3 blue sponge. One of the best rubbers you can actually buy that approach National H3 performance and not have to boost, probably.
  6. Something a bit quicker than Fastarc G1?

Try a 50 degree rubber like the Stiga Mantra Pro H. It will scale better with the power you are putting into the shot.
  7. Bad cheap chinese glue

Yup, it has congealed. Loss of ammonia or it was not manufactured with enough of it is the cause. Now you know to use other glues.
  8. Bad cheap chinese glue

I used to use Tearmender till I got a bad bottle. Then I switched to Copydex and I have never had any issues with it except for the inconsistent availability at good prices on amazon. I also use Donic Formula First, a non ammonia stabilized glue. Super shelf life, consistent and easy to works...
  9. Whats a good setup i could get with around a 140 USD

Stiga Mantra Pro H is a good backhand rubber. Linear, predictable and good performance. Made in Japan.
  10. Bad cheap chinese glue

It may have been frozen or the ammonia may have migrated out of the bottle through the plastic. Do you still smell the ammonia and is it weak? If you want to try something, get some ammonium hydroxide to try to revive the glue and if it works transfer the glue to a boston round glass bottle.
  11. Which foam sponge do you use to apply glue?

You can buy a bag of those cylindrical sponges inexpensively that even come with a clip from most table tennis places. No messing about with cutting or reuse necessary. I like to get pro results in rubber setup and am not so poor that I need to resort to caveman DIY techniques.
  12. Need tips on how to improve my feeling/control

Try harder, more linear rubbers like the Stiga Mantra Pro H. Having the right gear does help when you are putting in the practice.

  15. Stocking up: How long can glue be stored before opening?

Depends on how resistant the container is to ammonia evaporation. I have had glue that did not even last a month before noticeable deterioration due to the choice of bottle. If you are able to transfer the glue to a glass "boston round" bottles it might last a whole lot longer. Alternatively you...
  16. Best 47-47.5 degree backhand rubber?

Why does it have to be around 47.5 in hardness? Have you considered something harder like 50 degrees. You may find better control with a harder rubber in the era of plastic balls. If Dignics 05 is too expensive, maybe the Stiga Mantra Pro H?
  17. Blade recommendations

You don't have change blades to play the style you envision. Sounds like you are the perfect candidate to join the dark side by using long pimples OX on the backhand to block and confuse your opponents until they pop one up, at which point you attack.
  18. Is Ovtcharov blade good? Comparisons and reviews

There is some variation in the BTY Ovtcharov blade. Mine is definitely a bit too stiff for my liking and is definitely not slow but another that I have tried does not feel that stiff. YMMV.
  19. Best glue to assemble rubbers?

Copydex - conventional water based ammonia stabilized latex glue, consistent and easy to work with. Donic Formula First - non-ammonia water based glue - less stinky, very consistent and shelf stable, easy to work with and strong. You only need one very thin layer on each side and it is more...
  20. Your backhand sucks? It's ok brother, don't cry! We're in this together for the long run....

I got it! I figured out whats wrong with Gozo's BH. It's that extra 30 lbs. The video reminded me of the way I used to play when I was at 195 lbs. I did not play like that when I was at 165 lbs.
