  1. I TESTED MA LONG’S ACTUAL TABLE TENNIS BAT!

For those who don't know, sponsored player National H3 BS is different from what you can buy commercially and their blades are also custom made. I have a used H3 BS supposedly from a sponsored player and it is much easier to use than what I was told is the National Version someone got from...
  2. My Robot died -- what's next ?

    True, but also animals
  3. Best BH rubber (xiom vega)

Why must it be in the Vega series by XIOM? Are you getting special discounts? If not I'd recommend the Stiga Mantra Pro H which can be had for very reasonable prices from aliexpress and performs better in terms of control and stability than any of the Vega series in my opinion.
  4. Hammond Z2

Stiga Mantra Pro H, made by the same company is available on aliexpress for quite a bit cheaper and is in some ways more linear and predictable than the Hammond Z2.
  5. How do I get that thick Booster noise?

Those pros are probably using rubbers with sponges that are different from what you can buy and customized blades and that may explain the extra noise. That and they also hit hard and block harder hits.
  6. Hurricane Long 5 Light

HL5LL did not feel any head heavier than the HL5. The one that feels head heavy is the Donic version, the Ovtcharov No.1 Senso which I also own, even though it is overall lighter. Can't really tell much difference in speed on the backhand but it is in general a bit more forgiving. I prefer...
  7. Hurricane Long 5 Light

I can only compare my HL5 Light to my regular HL5 and the HL5 light is a different blade in some good ways. First the HL5 light handle is kid sized. It's even smaller than the one on the HL5, which is why I have to use grip tape.. I believe the ALC type is also different as it more flexible and...
  8. Does Lin Yun Ju still have potential to be world no.1?

Maybe he needs more potent medicines to help his muscles recover from the stresses and injuries you get from playing and training at a pro level to catch up to the developed physiques of the other players. 😉
  9. Alternative to Nittaku PK50 (and 8-80) ?

Maybe you can try boosting the 8-80 too see if it is easier to use.
  10. GAN reviews Rxton 9

My boosted Rxton 9 is fast, very low throw and unforgiving on the forehand. Surprisingly it works on the backhand with some interesting characteristics in being able to attack underspin long pushes with a low trajectory. I might keep trying it for the backhand but it's probably too unforgiving...
  11. What blade would you recommend for someone stepping down from carbon?

There's always Yasaka Sweden Extra for something cheap, decent and controllable.
  12. My equipment: Am I an EJ?

Those be rookie numbers. Don't let those who cannot afford to EJ, EJshame you. Keep it up and you will find the breadth of TT gear knowledge and your truth of what really works and maybe the one(s) that makes you feel like you now have the possibility to get to the top levels.
  13. Hina Hayata H2 comparisons

My ZQH 90 is stiffer and less forgiving than the Inspira Hybrid Carbon but seems more lively and maneuverable and requires more skill to handle in my opinion.
  14. Has anyone bought this Long V clone?

I have a Long V and had the Stuor clone. The Stuor is a decent blade especially for the price but it is not the same as the Long 5. They are within a large ballpark however. The Stuor is stiffer and has less of that grab and hold sensation when you hit it hard as the Long 5. I suspect the Stuor...
  15. Prescription Glasses advice

For table tennis you don't need any straps as long as the temple pieces are fitted correctly around the ears. The Lebruns are playing world class table tennis and they don't need any straps.
  16. Does rubber cleaners actually damage and shorten the life of rubbers??

Another thing most people do wrong when cleaning is just spraying the cleaner, which is usually a surfactant on the rubber, rub it around with a sponge and call it a day. If you have no running water rinsing the emulsified dirt in the sponge away, all you will be doing is spreading the oily mess...
  17. Planning ahead.... (future setups)

You can try boosting your Skyline and/or switch the Mantra Pro to your FH side and see how that goes for you.
  18. Changing rubber or changing blade?

What you are uncomfortable with is how unsuitable softer/medium hard rubbers are with the plastic ball when attacking. There's a reason there is a trend towards hard rubbers nowadays. If you still have your So Ten, try boosted H3 on the FH and the D09C on the backhand and see if that works out...
  19. Without rating how to determine a super noob? Not so noob? OB ( Hobby ) player? Serious OB player etc?

Let me guess, these are the under-rated Bay Area kids with their kettled ratings. :>
  20. Rubber recommendations to replace Friendship 729 Battle 2 National B.S

Try XIOM C55, not slow at all. Another option that is linear and controllable but faster than most hard Chinese rubbers and does not require boosting is the Loki Arthur China.
