  1. Training in Taiwan update

Looks a cracking place to train. Nice one.
  2. I'm looking for an alternative rubber that lasts longer than the Tibhar Hybrid K3.

I've had nice results personally with the 55 BH and now 57.5 both sides. There's some wear and tear on the rubber after a month of pretty heavy use. Spin and speed is still going well. Loved the K3 but found the 57.5 to be a really stable replacement for me. Been along this path as I...
  3. I'm looking for an alternative rubber that lasts longer than the Tibhar Hybrid K3.

Maybe look at Xiom J&H series... 09c is a good option like everyone has mentioned.
  4. Nexy Spira H

A harder sponge would be a fantastic option.
  5. Nexy Spira H

Nexy.com There is a H version on the site. A friend mentioned it and looking closer might be a dummy image as hardness is showing an 47.5... A 55 degree spira or slightly softer maybe 53/54 would be a good product I think 👍.
  6. Nexy Spira H

Anyone have any news on this H version?. Actual Hardness?.
  7. I want opinions on my chances of pro

Kudos on a good start. Work hard, then harder and see where it takes you. Best of all... enjoy your journey.
  8. Xiom J&H C57. 5

Thinking of switching to this on the backhand as well. Have had a good switch around and quite liked it but thinking it will be like thorns hammer weight heavy ....
  9. FZD is back, not in shape but . . .

Playing devil's advocate - is this match more show piece or real match. There's a reason for my comment....
  10. How to approach handicapped games?

Stay positive 100% in mindset to claw the points back Play your game but with a bit more safety. You still need to win points your way. Spin is your friend in these matches. A heavy serve, heavy push and deep heavy topspin tend to be "safe" ways of winning points instead of going for broke when...
  11. 30+ TT players, could you beat a 10 years younger version of yourself?

With the amount of table time young me used to get I think older would probably lose as younger me would definitely be sharper all the time and could train flat out for hours. Serve and receive, touch etc is still OK mind. Interesting concept. It also depends on where 10 years ago standard...
  12. Xiom J&H C57. 5

It could just be the honeymoon period 😉 he'll probably switch to 09c or H3N and do better.... 😊
  13. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

    Thanks for this 👍 Cheers
  14. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Anyone compare durability for C55 to K3/K3 pro?
  15. Xiom J&H C57. 5

    👍
  16. Xiom J&H C57. 5

Definitely used to like the K3 53 on backhand but moved to a hinoki carbon blade. The 57. 5 when touching and looping is great control and spin. Definitely agree if there's a hesitate moment or loss of racquet head speed there's alot of extra work yo get the ball over. Hereford event...
  17. Xiom J&H C57. 5

I'm normally K3 Pro both sides but this 57.5 not broken in these always seem like bricks to me. Hoping after a few more training sessions it be break in and then become a bit more friendly in open play.
  18. Xiom J&H C57. 5

It's very much like thinking all the time ... Engage Engage the rubber!! then it goes like a bullet and safe. Something that honestly you have to be in the position to achieve. I'll test again tonight.
  19. What is the most important area to jump from 1900 to 2100?

Was this win in a ratings/competition or just training /practice?
  20. Xiom J&H C57. 5

Got chance to train with 57.5 yesterday. First impressions are promising. Serve and receive is strong. Rotation on the fist loop really bites. Topspin to block when the ball has momentum on it it is also really nice. Engaging the sponge to deliver the power is sometimes challenging to be...
