  1. UFO shot (ie BH topspin with FH side rubber)

Swiss player Elia Schmidt seems to have another hybrid type Seemiller style grip. Strong player as well. It looks as if he uses inverted both sides possibly?
  2. UFO shot (ie BH topspin with FH side rubber)

I've read about Enoch Green!. Larry Hodges had some very kind words to say about him and those innovations. High praise indeed.
  3. UFO shot (ie BH topspin with FH side rubber)

Definitely innovative all those years ago.... I remember reading something about the modification options over at OOAK 10-12 years probably now. If Sabine can make her "UFO" work long term will be a step forward for the style.
  4. UFO shot (ie BH topspin with FH side rubber)

A type of Seemiller grip springs to mind.
  5. What is everyone's number 1 table tennis goal for 2025?

2-3 times a week is all I can give at the moment. It's a 3-4 hour session each tme with players who are a bit stronger than me and at the same level. Normal topspin v block drills, Topspin opening and countering, Serve and the first 3-4 topsins, recieve and opening. opening and transition to...
  6. What is everyone's number 1 table tennis goal for 2025?

Train hard at least twice a week at a solid level. Work on my fitness and stay injury free. Technical and match play, really push the level so at match time there's a bit more in the tank.
  7. I feel that Dignics 05 is extremely overrated. Is it just me?

Some rubbers work better for certain players and styles... Butterfly series Tenergy and Dignics series are good rubbers overall used by a large number of players. The volume of users speak for itself. Does it work for everyone ... no I don't think so. If it's not for you it's all good. I know...
  8. Training Camp + Vacation

https://pingcenter-gvhtt.com/en/stages This may be an option depending on your level and the level of the players attending. That's always the tricky bit. Otherwise a busman's holiday to various clubs and facilities might work as well as a bit of sightseeing.
  9. Are worn out Long pips better than new long pips?

Reversal changes also depends on what ball your give the pimples/anti really. If you vary the spin a lot on the loops/drives/pushes etc you can really open the game up quite a bit and get chances to put the ball away. If you give the same loop to the pimples/Anti then they groove and that...

  11. Happy New Year TTD!

Happy New Year everyone! 2025 - bigger and better. Stay well all.
  12. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Backhand safety stroke and slower rubber makes sense. An " on the table backhand" is better to set up the forehand. Doesn't need to be pretty but function. If you can "link" up even a little slower spin ball it's a jackpot to get that big smash setup option :) If you get chance to watch a few...
  13. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Some good and some not so good to be honest. When the ball is in the hitting zone you make some nice smash strokes on your FH. When the ball isn't in that sweet zone area there quite a bit of almost falling sideways and backwards a bit. This makes it pretty hard for you deply those real power...
  14. *VIDEO* - Please help me decide on a forehand rubber! 🙏

It's has very good spin, bit heavy on the weight. I know a couple of choppers that use it. The dig is heavy on the rubber so might work also you don't attack massively being more of a classic defence type player. Other plus is it's pretty durable. How's the season going in BL for you...
  15. *VIDEO* - Please help me decide on a forehand rubber! 🙏

What kind of improvements do you want over the 09c you are playing with at the moment? more spin, safer flight of the ball, higher or lower throw type things? Cheers GZ
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

The service rules are not enforceable agreed. Where there's money involved people do what they do unfortunately and it filters down from the pros to the Joe's.
  17. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

It must be frustrating for the pros definitely as it's their job. If you are facing pro level serve and third ball those hesitant moments can cost the paycheck.
  18. Some Clips of me looping vs chopper

"How can I get through his chop? He is too consistent." Hence the match and playing tactics... Was under the impression these were to win the rally. The full match video is available to view as well... Consistency doesn't seem an issue.
  19. Some Clips of me looping vs chopper

Nice videos 👍. You are very predictable in your game possibly. Push, loop. Very similar length of ball, angle of attack you rarely went very wide to take the chopper outside of their comfort zone. Angle drop shot is also a good option, when taking a chopper out wide. It's good consistent play...
