  1. TT11 Blind Rubber Test

Not maybe, it is scientifically proved by TT11! ;)
  2. TT11 Blind Rubber Test

I stand corrected. The lefty did actually like D05, but not the others. :)
  3. TT11 Blind Rubber Test

I agree that it is difficult to assess from just a couple of minutes if the rubber is "good" or fits ones playing style. However, I found it interesting to see and hear their observations regarding arc, speed and ease of use(clearly the butterfly rubbers took more effort to activate). No one...
  4. I wasted 12 years of my life trying to play table tennis

If winning is the most important thing than better to play in the lower leagues with guaranteed wins. Competing is about seeing how you measure up against others. Just look at a regular WTT tournament. 50% of the participants go to the venue, play one match, lose, go home. Then another 25% of...
  5. NEW Stiga Helix Hybrid ?

Visit the Stiga Showroom in Stockholm and try them out :D
  6. Zyre 03 Rubber Review with Dimitrij Ovtcharov!

Alexis and Felix have for sure played great recently. What most people feel though is that something must be off when FZD, who earlier this year beat both LSD and WCQ, now loses 0-3 to both of the brothers. And when something is off it has to be the equipments fault!
  7. New Stiga Blade: [Cybershape] Carbon Soft Touch

Yeah, the pics clearly show that this is an inner-carbon blade. There is Core, then carbon, then a non-dyed wooden layer, and finally a dyed koto layer.
  8. Dear fellow EJs, give me your (non)wisdom

    - Stiga Destiny Carbon for something a bit more controllable Something fast: - Stiga Carbonado 145/190, 245/290 All these blades are outer carbon with limba top
  9. Stiga Inspira Hybrid Carbon

To me this blade is a bit deceptive. I does have some flex and dwell, so it does not feel like a brick like some of the very fast and stiff carbon blades sometimes feels like. However, this can at first glance trick you into thinking that the blade is not that fast. I agree with your "TTGearLab...
  10. Butterfly Dimitrij Ovtcharov Innerforce ALC Review

Sounds a little bit strange that you "cannot play at all" with a blade because it has a lot of control . My guess is that you feel like your shots are slower because of the blade being very stiff.
  11. My Butterfly Dignics 09C Review: Why I think that most amateur players should avoid it

Going back to the topic :) . If anyone is passing by Stockholm/Sweden, I really recommend that you visit the Stiga Showroom. They let you try all possible variations of their blades and their rubbers. You can play versus ex-pro's(Jens Lundqvist is sometimes there, and others ...) and they will...
  12. Equipment Switch

Is Omega vii asia really faster than D05?
  13. Petr Korbel jp with T19 vs D09c

T19 should last you longer than the D09c. I do not really follow what you mean about one of your setups being heavier than the other. D09c has much harder sponge so it should be more heavy than T19. Also Korbel has a little bit larger head size than normal, which means more rubber and more...
  14. Petr Korbel jp with T19 vs D09c

I have the same experience. I switched my FH rubber from D09C to Helix Platinum M(i play with H now though). D09C felt better in drills and with spinsight meassurements I also can see higher spin ratings in drills. However, in matches, the ball does not land exactly where you expect it all the...
  15. Upgrade from Ma Lin Carbon

More traditional shape of the pimples for the symmetry. Easier to hit spinny shots with symmetry, but less strange pimple effect on the ball. So if it is deception you want, then go for Spectol S3, but for more traditional attacking and also your own spin generation, then go for symmetry.
  16. Upgrade from Ma Lin Carbon

I know it is not what you want to hear, but I really can recommend Stiga Clipper. Until very recently I used to play SP on backhand(Victas Spectol S3 and Stiga Symmetry). I had them on a Viscaria, Harimoto inner ALC and on Cybershape Clipper. The Clipper is what worked best for me.
  17. Upgrade from Ma Lin Carbon

You mentioned in a post that a bit harder blade might be an improvement for your pimples. That is why I suggested some inner carbon blades with Koto top since it is a little bit harder than Limba.
  18. Upgrade from Ma Lin Carbon

There are a couple of inner carbon blades from Stiga with Koto outer. They will be harder than the Innerforce ALC that has Limba outer. They are also a bit faster. - Cybershape Carbon (Truls blade) - Inspira CCF (Pretty much same blade as the Cybershape Carbon, but cheaper and round head shape)...
  19. Why amateur players should avoid fast gear and where power really comes from in table tennis.

Me personally I love playing with outer ALC blades. The best feeling I have had whilst doing looping drills is with an Viscaria with D09C. However, when I play matches, I perform better with a blade that flexes a tiny bit more and has a bit more dwell. Similarly, a regular tensor is more...
  20. Stiga infinity vps speed

But it was enough for FZD for so many years .... ;)
