  1. Medium hard rubber for backhand

I didnt say that. Just in the comparison to Rakza 7 I said it is more sensitive. But only ever so slightly.
  2. Serve return advice for beginners playing other beginners

The easiest was to put most serves on the table is to wait for the ball to start dropping after it bounces on your half of the table. Then give the ball a good cut at 6 O'clock. But only do this on short, halflang or other slow serves. This wont work for fast and/or deel serves.
  3. I feel that Dignics 05 is extremely overrated. Is it just me?

The problem here is that most people over estimate their current level. At least in video games there is a level requirement before you can use a certain weapon, gear, spell, killstreak, or play a quest, dungeon or whatever. In table tennis a level 1 player can just go out and buy a level 100...
  4. Change blade or backhand rubber?

I wouldn't change the blade if you have been playing with it for so long now. I would say get a rubber that your backhand is somewhat decent with, and then just practice. A populair backhand rubber that most people here seem to be satisfied with is Xiom Vega Europe.
  5. Be honest guys: you don't need carbon blades

Both players here playing with 5 ply allwood blades. They both play in the highest division in the Netherlands. Lukas: Andro Novacell All/S Nolan: Stiga Infinity VPS V
  6. CHINA’S NEXT HERO?! LIN SHIDONG CRAZY TRAINING 2024!

Judging by the amount of ads I get on my screen when I click the link on my phone, they are willing to do anything for clicks.
  7. CHINA’S NEXT HERO?! LIN SHIDONG CRAZY TRAINING 2024!

I dont think so, I can't find it anywhere else on Google. What I did find was this rather strange article about Lin Shidong passing away...? https://allsportsvilla.com/espn-rising-table-tennis-star-lin-shidong-tragically-passes-away-due/ So after finding this I dont think that either are true.
  8. Bad equipment ≈ Good player?

You mean shoulder problems? Oh hey there you go! 🤣
  9. How controllable is Dignics 05?

I would also like to add to this that depending on the rubbers you are currently using it will be easier or harder to adapt. So if you have been using D09C for a while, every other Dignics or Tenergy is probably going to feel uncontrolable at first. Because you are not used to the catapult...
  10. How controllable is Dignics 05?

Depends on your blade. I think nearly every player would find D05 to be controlable on a Korbel, but on a fast blade like Ovtcharov ALC it is going to be alot more reactive to minor errors in technique.
  11. Country specific style.

Yeah I know, its a shame...
  12. Country specific style.

I wouldn't know about every single country, but here is my impression of the countries that come to mind. China Close overpowering every single opponent with agressive close to the table play. Putting on pressure with quick backhands and finishing the point with absolute killer forehands. This...
  13. Post your latest EJ purchase

What comes to mind when reading your Insights. For blades that will probably suit you: Tibhar Stratus Power wood Yasaka Sweden Extra For rubbers I generally see 3 different 'cults' in what players are using (around Sport Europe) from all levels: 1. Rasanter: mostly R47 and a few R42. R53 is...
  14. New Equipment -- Budding EJ

It doesnt matter if Sriver is supposedly too 'dead' or the Rozena has too much catapult, you will get used to them and play equally as good.
  15. New Equipment -- Budding EJ

One thing I want to mention is that you are now gonna play with this new setup, with the goal of going back to your old TB ALC. This is wrong (in opinion). Having this blade in the back of your mind is gonna create curiousity and doubt, this is what sparks the inner EJ (trust me, Im speaking...
  16. New Equipment -- Budding EJ

Sriver is fine. I know a few old school players that have pretty much used Sriver all their life on a Donic Appelgren Allplay. They still beat all the people at our club that supposedly have 'better' equipment.
  17. Are worn out Long pips better than new long pips?

I dont know about worn, but I have heard weird stories like people putting their pips in the microwave to get some desired effect.
  18. serve grip change after the ball toss

I am not so sure she fully changes her grip. The change seems to be subtle, and she still seems to adjust her grip after serving. If she does change to the hook serve grip I can't spot it at 0.25 speed.
  19. Post your latest EJ purchase

I would like to help but I dont know what the context is behind the things you dislike. You dont like stiff blades. What blades did you play with that were too stiff? You need a softer touch. What blades did have a softer touch that you did like? What rubbers have you used apart from h3 in...
  20. [Concluded] Looking for an ‘all wood alternative’ for Viscaria

True haha! When I initially setup my new blade I picked G-1 on both sides like I had with my old blade. Because my adjustment period for next season would only be 2 months I didn't want to go full Butterfly yet. But then last week I couldn't help myself and I ordered D09C and T19. I convinced...
