  1. My perfect Bh rubber - Dignics 80, Victas V22DE, Nittaku Hammond Z2

Let me add one more to your list - Stiga Mantra Pro Hard. It's a sibling to the Hammond Z2 and it feels transparent to me as in I don't think about it at all it, just works so well. If it's on sale, get it.
  2. Recommendations for Forhand rubber

I've read that the XIOM Vega Pro sits between the X and Intro. It might be the one for you.
  3. Donic OTC Inner for daughter (20yrs)

It's good for those who can't or don't loop hard as part of their gameplay style. The soft sponge optimizes for softer strokes but will have tradeoffs elsewhere.
  4. Stiga Inspira Hybrid Carbon

My take on it is the Inspira Hybrid Carbon is it is a hybrid between a Long 5/W968 and an outer ALC blade. It has the best parts of those two types of blades.
  5. Need Recommendation and suggestion for someone new to sport!

I recommend the Yasaka Sweden Extra and XIOM Vega Intro. BTY Petr Korbel will probably work great but it is a bit more advanced. I have one coming in to me so I'll know how it compares. From my personal experience I don't recommend the Tibhar stratus powerwood. It is way too fast for how...
  6. Short review of Glayzer 09c

I learned my lesson when I got burned by Rozena and Aibiss. The only reason Butterfly should get any business if the performance of their rubbers actually merits their price. If they try to sell lower performing rubbers on the strength of the name, only fanboys would happily pay for them.
  7. I am looking for that 'effortless forehand topspin mechanics' tip

Imagine discus throwing starting from below your hip and slightly behind you in a fast salute motion?
  8. Downgrade bh rubber from tenergy05

Alternatively you could go with a more forgiving and controllable 5 ply all wood ALL blade until you comfortable with backhand receives and still use Tenergy 05. First get the blade and stroke right, then tune it with rubber.
  9. Prescription glasses for table tennis

If you have a good optometrist, they can prescribe glasses that focuses on table table distances. A good optician will adjust your frames so that they do not slip. Go with titanium frames that are not too small and high refractive index plastic lenses. Then wear a sweat band or sports skull cap...
  10. Donic OTC Inner for daughter (20yrs)

Softness/Hardness of rubber is relative to the ball and style you want to play with. The average hardness of rubbers that people are using have gone up due to the adoption of the plastic ball and the harder you can hit, the harder the rubber you want to use because bottoming out on the blade...
  11. Donic OTC Inner for daughter (20yrs)

If your daughter has talent and potential and she's going to be coached profesionally an ALC blade would be what you would get her. If you plan to just casually play with her with no plans on getting her into competitive table tennis an inexpensive 5 ply all wood like the Yasaka Sweden Extra...
  12. Backhand rubber recommendation needed

My experience with Rakza 7 Soft was pretty bad in that it is too slow and dead to play offensively. Instead of going softer may I suggest something a bit harder and spinnier but still soft feeling like the Nittaku Hammond Z2 or the Stiga Mantra Pro H. They coincidentally are both made by the...
  13. How to handle short and half-long serves to FH?

Have you seen the way Lin Yun Ju plays? That's one way. Other times pros will push or FH flick depending on the spin. If you keep the return low and quickly move back to the correct ready position, you should have little trouble handling the third ball attempt and counter any weak one.
  14. How do i resolve some of my critical errors

Has anyone mentioned to the OP that having an always cocked and locked wrist in a forehand stroke is unnatural and makes it hard for the hand to naturally adjust to timing and to control placement just by changing the wrist angle flexibly?
  15. The blade off Wang Manyu ??

Funny you mention this. The Stiga Inspira Hybrid Carbon I got recently is exactly that and works great with Mantra Pro H on the back hand. I am loving it except for the fact I already put a dent on the edge with it.
  16. PSA: Stiga Inspira Hybrid Carbon and Andro Syntheliac VCO OFF seem like close siblings but are not

So I got to play them tonight after slapping on Loki Arthur China on the FH and with Stiga Mantra Pro H preassembled on the BH and they could not be more different. The Syntheliac was like a regular ALC blade and was not notable enough that I pimped it off to my sparring partner at 65% off what...
  17. PSA: Stiga Inspira Hybrid Carbon and Andro Syntheliac VCO OFF seem like close siblings but are not

I was interested in a Stiga carbon blade that would play like Cybershape but without the Cybershape and I somehow landed on the Hybrid Carbon and someone mentioned in passing in a post the VCO OFF is made in the same factory. I was looking at Dandoy for the Hybrid Carbon and lo and behold the...
  18. Setup Questions

Just try it and see. Even without boosting it is not as slow as some would have you believe because they are comparing it to tensors on low speed bounces or they have really slow blades.
  19. Setup Questions

The Long 5 and Hurricane 3 was made for each other on the FH. It is not very expensive to try it out unless you go for the National versions. The Hurricane should allow you to attack with more confidence. If you got a good Long 5, you can hit very hard and the ball will feel like it magically...
