  1. My perfect Bh rubber - Dignics 80, Victas V22DE, Nittaku Hammond Z2

I also found K3 just too bouncy and too hard to control in comparison to both Bluestar A1 and D09c. I also didn't get on with D80, but did really like Z2 on BH. I also like D64 on BH - very different to D80.
  2. How Did I Win or Lose a Match?

Good pointers - having worked on this last night I continue to find the biggest challenge on BH loops (vs back and top) is timing the wrist release to ensure that the ball lands on the table. My most common mistake is to hit the ball long as a result of not getting the wrist fully released at...
  3. New all-wood blade recommendations wanted

I’m sorry but I have to challenge your first point - hinoki or koto not providing good spin is simply not true. Limba may provide a softer feel but it does not offer any more spin than either of the other two.
  4. New all-wood blade recommendations wanted

I can only add - don't ignore Vodak because there is limited info. I have played most of the blades listed and the Vodak I have (I stumbled across it or also would not have bought it) is the best by a margin (Including vs Acoustic IMO)
  5. How Did I Win or Lose a Match?

First of all - thank you for thinking of me, that's very kind.. I find that very interesting, and something I had not thought about before now - if I visualise the banana flick then I can totally feel this movement so will try and practice it tonight. Does it also apply to BH topspin in general...
  6. New all-wood blade recommendations wanted

Fair comment - I nearly added Xiom Off S as I have one too, but found myself hesitating a little due to the handle, which I found a little odd - but it’s a very good blade.
  7. New all-wood blade recommendations wanted

I have made a similar change recently and have tried a few all wood blades, so my thoughts on what has worked for my topspin based game; 1. Nittaku Acoustic - great feeling and decent speed. Handle in std size a deal breaker for me but large or SG good. 2. Vodak - I currently use a 5 ply with...
  8. Downgrade blade back to all-wood?

Hi Marcus I have followed a similar journey and am now 2 years back in - I play a spin/offensive style game too. I have run through a number of inner and outer carbon blades and can play them reasonably well, however having switched back to an all wood 5 ply (Vodak) my consistency and control...
  9. Stiga DNA Hybrid H or XH vs Other Hybrid Competitors

I’ve used XH and also 09c / K3 / Bluestar A1 and ultimately I think 09c sets itself apart as a FH rubber for me from a spin and control perspective. From the others I’d probably choose XH for its combination of spin, speed and feel.
  10. Post your latest EJ purchase

Came across this blade when searching for slower all wood 5 ply and have been very impressed with both build quality, balance and how it plays. 1300 Hz so off speed and hinoki outer ply's.
  11. ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals Busan 2024

When I used to travel a lot for work and required visa's, which took time to process and required sending of passport, I had two passports.
  12. Dignics 64 on BH

Just trying it now, like it a lot so far.
  13. My perfect Bh rubber - Dignics 80, Victas V22DE, Nittaku Hammond Z2

2.1 - mostly I’m a topspin player looking to open up and counter as well as flick/touch/push on serve return
  14. Best hardness rubbers for Ovtcharov innerforce ALC

I liked 09c better after a layer of booster, but for a naturally softer rubber that works well on Ovt you could try Bluestar A2 or DNA Hybrid H
  15. My perfect Bh rubber - Dignics 80, Victas V22DE, Nittaku Hammond Z2

Mantra Pro H and Z2 maybe similar hardness of sponge and I have only played hybrid and Platinum H and they were quite different to Z2 but in the same broad range - D80 however is very different in my view.
  16. My perfect Bh rubber - Dignics 80, Victas V22DE, Nittaku Hammond Z2

Hi - I have used Z2 on BH for quite a while and like it a lot, but recently have been trying Stiga hybrid M & H and like both of them but the real revelation has been D64. It is so much easier to access than D05 or D80 in my opinion and I am loving it on the BH side of my Inspira.
  17. Complete video guide: How to cut and glue rubbers on a table tennis bat

Oh dear - you did better than me however, mine arrived and it wasn't a rotary cutting board at all but a standard green cutting mat. The store has them both listed as Sanwei rotary cutting table but with two different pictures and apparently I chose the wrong one! Have re-ordered but not sure it...
  18. Is my strength also my biggest weakness?

Fair enough, but I’d be videoing myself playing better players and analysing matches I lose - there will be patterns. Am I making unforced errors or being attacked and passed. Are their pushes better and more aggressive, am I struggling with quality of receive etc.
  19. Is my strength also my biggest weakness?

You haven’t told us where you are losing points - so when you lose to a better player, where are you exposed and why are you losing?
  20. The blade off Wang Manyu ??

P Pretty well balanced, both mine feel good at 87 and 89g but not heard of any lighter
