  1. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

Power of love? It'll be magic illustration of this power if Hugo and his gf both stand at the trophy podium at the end.
  2. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

That's partly due to his playing style. Like Xu Xin, Gauzy doesn't play fast pace game. In stead, they often patrol the middle or far distance from the table, i,e, sacrificing space to buy extra time. The extra time enable these two guys who possess magic touch to put up lots of highlight...
  3. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

Knack is making game interesting and exposing some human side of WCQ.
  4. WTT Champions Incheon 2025 - 1-6 Apr 2025

The most feared WTT ref. Her demeanor demands respect.
  5. WTT Champions Incheon 2025 - 1-6 Apr 2025

XP played 120% for sure. But I don't call LSS choked, simply fatigued and out of gas. Playing two matches at this level on the same day is very tough for older players. Giving credit to XP who really has improved with his backhand and also added forehand power. XP is firmly taking LGY's position...
  6. WTT Champions Incheon 2025 - 1-6 Apr 2025

That's always the main barrier preventing her from reaching the top: risk taking, ambition and willingness to step into uncomfortable zoom. It has to do with the personality and temperament. With that said, CXT is one of the players with the most solid fundamentals, well balanced technique and...
  7. Build your perfect WTT player

Talking about how to measure forehand effectiveness, I 'll use an example in my own club. There is a young player who has a forehand loop with lots of power. In the forehand to forehand loop rally away from the table, he often overpowers me. However, in the many matches we played (I won 80% of...
  8. Build your perfect WTT player

Well, underrated not by pros and I, but by some fans and you obviously is one of them. No intention to get into an argument. I just want to point out one simple truth: so far all 4 very respectable pros who are in the top 10 are rated ML as the best forehand without hesitation. Given their...
  9. Build your perfect WTT player

Saw the short video of 4 pros's take on building up the perfect WTT player. As the professionals they have to face each other many times, they have the ultimate knowledge on this topic. Not surprisingly, all of them rate ML as the best forehand. None of them would point Aruna's forehand as the...
  10. Build your perfect WTT player

He's a irrational fan. :) Notice, as a penhold player, Xu's forehand is probably 10 times better than his backhand. Yet, no pros rate his forehand as the best. There is reason for that. Xu's forehand is very spiny and consistent but lack of speed and pace simply because his forehand oriented...
  11. Build your perfect WTT player

On the contrary, I think ML's forehand is underrated. With a useful but unimpressive backhand, he has to have a great forehand to achieve the goat status. His forehand is not the most powerful (maybe not even in the top 5) but with top notch consistency, timing, pace and change, trajectory...
  12. Build your perfect WTT player

As Long as they played WTT events, they are counted. The task is 'build your perfect WTT player'.
  13. Why difficult to stop being an equipment junkie? Haha

Well said. Whatever a new setup, I usually had a great feeling with it. Unfortunately, the feeling only lasted couple of months. Then the negative side started to show. Maybe a new blade/rubber setup like a new dated woman to most men. :)
  14. Why difficult to stop being an equipment junkie? Haha

Why stop something that makes you happy? Life is short. Unless if you have to use your food money to buy a new blade.
  15. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Sora is faster than WCQ? Doesn't pass my eye test. However, I agree with Tomo's claim that if you can get 5 or 6 shots in a rally with WCQ, you have a good chance winning the rally. Actually that's what happened in the first game on the recent encounter they met and Tomo edged out WCQ...
  16. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

It takes time to build up fan base, LSD will have his time as he is still very young among all superstars. But for true TT fans, I believe LSD has already left big impression for his awesome backhand and 3D play style. At least, I'm very impressed by his play style.
  17. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

LGL bullshits a lot with his big mouth. He criticized WCQ 'high expectations but low skills' but he also encouraged players like WCQ to be ambitious to challenge the established top players. Isn't high expectations the similar as ambitious? in 2017, WCQ was not really low skill player as he was...
  18. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Good point. Notice, during the whole tournament, WCQ rarely used his controversial hook-serve, at least, I didn't see it once. His overall play is so much better than everyone else, focusing on his serve is really a knit-picking. Using his big head to hide his serves, the same criticism was...
  19. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

As for explosively stepping around launching a huge wide cross-court forehand loopkill with full body motion, WCQ can match Ryu if not more impressively. However, as for fast springing from backhand position to cover wide forehand corner, no one does it better than Ryu as this is life saver for...
  20. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Beating top 3 Chinese occasionally is not a big deal considering Ryu was a top 20 player himself and his high-risk all-out playing style. If Ryu was on he could be unstoppable like he did in the Olympic he won. Of course, his playing style was not sustainable long time.
