  1. Tenergy 05 = most overrated equipment item?

Tenergy 05 was a clear benchmark rubber for tensors until 2020s. I don’t remember when but it has domination on usage among pros before hybrid era. Of course, It’s obvious that playing with it is not a child play. Rewards accuracy, punishes mistake heavily like a race car. Even this day...
  2. Advice for my terrible receive

Sorry @Amayzde I didn't wanna hijack your post 😅 I saw late after posting mine and refreshing.
  3. Advice for my terrible receive

Disclaimer: I'm a seasoned low level obi-player. So my words are not advise, just my mere observations. Firstly, I have also similar problems so it's easier to said than done of course, don't get me wrong. Secondly, I'm surprised that they allowed you play with that shoes, not just for speed...
  4. Longevity of boosters - any difference?

I’ve used both but I think there is no significant difference as 3 times between two. But I haven’t measured them, maybe there could be. Currently I’m using seamoon, It feels better than both (very little margin), but applying is harder than falco, seamoon is very thick like the slime.
  5. Battle of the best FH rubbers

who knows 🤷‍♂️ but according to the marketed ones, it could be NEO. https://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/dhs-hurricane-3-neo-42-ma-long-forehand-black
  6. Battle of the best FH rubbers

    When I look at current top 20: 1- H3 BS -> 8 -> %40 2- T05 && T K3 H -> 3 -> %15 3- D05 && D09c -> 2 -> %10 I've chosen mine as well H3 BS because it looks cool as I'm an Obi-Player. My second would be D09c because I have one resting in my drawer. Edit: THX to @MrGeorge for Hugo
  7. Why Table Tennis is such a pure, unique 1-of-1 sport

If physical fitness wasn't important, Liu Guoliang would still be playing, for sure Timo and many more. Ma Long would be sweeping all the Trophies.
  8. Use of signals in doubles

Yes of course, I mean this my favorite and I can’t give credits the source because I don’t remember.
  9. First setup for basement player

I don’t know why do you thinking about VPS, it looks like you’ve been influenced by something. But it doesn’t differ from your blade significantly except marketing. There are tons of interesting other blades and rubber for EJing 😄
  10. First setup for basement player

Your setup is perfectly fine (fresh beginner to mid-high local league), rakza 7 is already mid-soft. Also rakza 7 soft won’t make any significant change. Actually any other setup won’t make sense as well. Some of premade bats are basically a kind of paper board. So it’s normal to struggle at...
  11. Use of signals in doubles

I don’t remember where I watch/read but Index finger is long backspin Thumb is topspin Fist is no spin sidespin-top Point in the direction the ball curves with thumb Little finger is short backspin Or combinations. Like both thumb and index finger for side-underspin.
  12. Entry level setup?

I don’t want to interfere but usually tt gifts are not good idea, except you know your friends dream blade/rubber. If you insist, it might be safer to go well known/popular options or spend all budget to a single blade than setup or alternatively bat case etc.
  13. When was this match played?

That match is from the ITTF world cup happened earlier this year, not the current WTT Macao event. This video is kind of tbt/scam :)
  14. Using Knee Sleeves to gain their benefits

Proper warm up and stretch-relax afterwards would be better for a healthy person. without physiotherapist recommendation, they should not be used IMO.
  15. San Francisco looking for training partner.

The additional boosting is not re-boosting. There is a small difference like 1-3 months. IMO, after 2-3 months if you are happy with a boosted rubber, then you can continue to play. Else you can try re-boosting then decide whether it's good or not. Why do we need to set rules for that? Of...
  16. San Francisco looking for training partner.

it's still usable like unboosted H3. Boosting both stretches top sheet and softens sponge. By using a durometer, I can measure the softening effect decreases after 3-4 months significantly. (2 times training weekly) (numbers: unboosted 32, 3 layer boosted 27, after 4 months 30) I cannot say...
  17. “Sealing effects performance”…. Is there any proof?

I don’t like grip tapes ( it’s personal preference) but if you wrap with tape, you should not be needing a sealing the handle. I was thinking same as you after using long 3 blade couple months (coloring etc), then I bought fang bo, I’ve tried sealing once and regretted. I prefer stained...
  18. “Sealing effects performance”…. Is there any proof?

I don’t recommend it becomes very slippery. Even I have sand it down, still it’s not good. IMO Some sweat doesn’t hurt much, you can add couple silica gel packs into your racket case.
  19. I messed up!

Removing needs patience mostly. It needs to waste a bit more glue. You may glue and stick on blade and remove after a while. And while removing glue, try to peel slowly rather than rubbing. Small damage pores are not much noticeable, still usable even with some bigger ones.
