Hi Diego, No vid link or embedding on your post...

Dean another beast for you... Strong hitter and not much else... but that strengths trumps a lot of things if you feed the animals. Dean's push is very poor, so if you get him to not attack, then you can topspin his poor push (or hit if high) Dean's serve receive is poor as well, so long as...

@Jslick89 as for having a day job, I thought I would never have to work again in my life after 20 yrs in military... but before I got out, I learned it was damned little to live by... so I ended up doing 30 and it still isn't 1/2 of what is needed to take care of a family to any respect... so I...

First things first... I voluntarily help Daniel... and that means one thing at a time. What he asked was to make his BH grow from a weak liability into something he could pressure opponents or win points from. In three weeks and maybe 5 times averaging 20-30 minutes each he went from pissing...
  5. Last chance to find a coating that suits me before giving up

One thing (actually three in one) you can try to do to make it easier to handle spin and make control is to make a really loose grip at impact and try to impact the ball several cm from the bounce with only a small motion - no crazy movement or long swing, it isn't needed.

While Sergey Scoobie Doo the Tsos was letting his glue job dry out on his main blade, I had him hit with the bat in my Sig... he was IMMEDIATELY at home with Aurus Soft on BH... with a fast bat and firm grip there is NOTHING SOFT about Aurus Soft. Sergey, besides 2 week old plus MX-P and his...

This Gym is open 7 days a week, so we really appreciate local player Suhir for initiating this, a lot of us contributed to the addition of the 3rd table. We left a box of training balls and a ball picker there too.

A local TT player bought a couple 1" TT tables and stashed them in a community gym in Sacramento so some TT players could have a chance to train any day of the week. Sacramento has no real TT club, just a couple few places where tables are setup in community center gyms for a few hrs once a...
  9. Tactics when your loop gets chopblocked

Maybe try turning tables on them and turn THEM into inconsistent attacker. Find their middle... push to middle then wide FH and dare them to step away, block to open area of table. Get them out of their strong play cycle any way you can... tempt THEM to take the risk if you can.
  10. Pros Vs New York Ping Pong Hustlers For $1000!

You shoulda gotten @UpSideDownCarl into the action, he knows most if not all the major hustlers there in that park... Carl woulda brought the NYC GOON SQUAD into the action... but @Dan , you seemed to have assembled a pretty robust Goon Squad urself.
  11. Seeking advice for blade choice

My Opinion is similar... it will not make it easy to do a few things, but easy to do some. A player can with time learn to use it, but it generally takes longer and player does not develop as much. Equipment choice is about suitability for what a player does often and what will make it easier...
  12. Seeking advice for blade choice

I have regained the mental choices of deciding to spin slow/heavy for first ball after a couple years playing my custom fast OFF to OFF+ stuff that had me drift progressively into going for power as first choice... I made a lot of them, but missed enough to hurt my chances. 5-10% less landing...

  14. Seeking advice for blade choice

Hi @Haraold , I put $20 custom fatter handles on all my PPP blades... better feel and plays more solid/powerful without losing any sensation of ball or compromising any shot making.
  15. Seeking advice for blade choice

I sandwiched good advice between two layers of sarcastic, yet realistic. (yes, so many players actually go for the superstar setups for the sarcastic reasons I described. A reasonable choice would be a setup that allows the developing players to make it easy to perform the most common shots...
  16. Low-Throw Rubber on Low-Throw Blade

Such a setup is dream control setup for a player who likes to launch loopdrive missiles as a first and only choice. With a little learning and adjustment, receiving short serves short is not so bad either. (lower rebound on low impact shot) So it will come down to what it always comes down...

and yes @dingyibvs you are right, it is very easy to square body to short side of table and still pound that ball cross court diagonally... all you need to do is swing a little earlier and hit the ball a little more in front of normal... like maybe 6-8 inches or so. Imagine a door opening to...
  18. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Hi @dingyibvs Yes and no if your body is squared diagonally to opponent to hit cross court that it is difficult to hit the BH down short side of table away from opponent. It is true that when you hit in your natural part of strike zone with body squared a direction... that you will hit that...
  19. Seeking advice for blade choice

Get the uber expensive BTY Super whatever blades with 2x Diginics and conduct show and tell with your TT buddies... maybe buy several of them. or go with a reasonable inexpensive all wood blade with Aurus both sides and win/improve. Nah, first choice always better... for bragging among buddies.
  20. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

In my crappy opinion, the BH is so damn easy to develop into a weapon that will finish loose balls to the BH... it is a matter of seeing it and being decisive. Typically, you get 2-3 loose balls to the BH that are just asking for it. Some do it, some are late and give away these easy points.
