  1. Feedback on my loops against backspin

Yes. That way it is easier to play vertically and make a slow spinny loop.
  2. Feedback on my loops against backspin

lots of good advice already. so maybe to simplify and summarize, here the advice for backhand in short. 1. try to loop a heavy underspin from a human long push 2. stand slightly further away to swing only over the table 3. get good vertical backswing. 4. play the ball close to the body 5. use...
  3. how much rest is necessary?

for the amateur player I would say quality of training > quantity of training. That way you are not killing your body. It depends also on your age, but as a rule of thumb, two rest days per week are sensible, your knees will thank you. Incorporating strength training before a rest day makes a...
  4. How is your experience boosting ESN hard hybrid rubbers?

seamoon is very good for hybrids, but I think it works much better on those rubbers that have less factory boosting, such as O7 China Guang, rather than something like K3. would not recommend relying on dymax on hard to very hard sponges. in my experience: rubber that feel too hard and...
  5. Which serve is the one you least want to receive?

anything fast to my elbow. If I am slow for the step around and dont get the quality on fh ts, I get burned on the FH side. If I use a safe backhand counter, opponent will attack. If I use bh ts, hard to control the speed, need to close racket angle just right, and might hit edge. Solution...
  6. Anybody ever fixed air bubble on topsheet?

triple double extra is produced... where? In China? I have never seen an ESN rubber bubble. I always assume that it is because chinese rubber's bond between sponge and topsheet is weak, you can easily separate by boiling water. ESN made stuff, however, no chance at all.
  7. Racket unchanged

The only stable factor in my equipment over the last 5 years is T05 on backhand. Apart from that I felt I needed to switch to carbon blade, but then the curve of my D09c became too flat so I had to change to a higher throwing ESN hybrid.
  8. Hurricane 3 neo

IMO, hurricane is not good for developing players. The commercial version is too inconsistent in quality, needs a long boosting procedure before working properly and overall needs too high of a level to play properly. I know a developing player in my club who is obsessed with DHS equipment, and...
  9. Should I boost my Rozena rubbers?

I always boost all my rubbers - no matter if dignics or hurricane or tenergy or whatever. not boosting is like sacrificing 20-30% control and spin for no reason and means having to switch after 3-4 months when you can easily play 6-8 months. Also, even some ESN hybrids can be too hard out of the...
  10. Any attempt to play in an competitive environment ruins this sport for me (rant)

you could play lower league and then if it is too easy, you can switch to a higher team during half-season break.
  11. Pips falling out

last training, 4 additional pips fell out. WTF? It feels disgusting and unsettling, so I will switch back to inverted. But maybe I will try short pips in the next off-season.
  12. Pips falling out

yeah chinese meteor 8512 pips. If anyone knows pips that play similar but with better durability that would help too
  13. Pips falling out

tell that to my opponents, I am just chopping...
  14. Pips falling out

interesting idea! So I separate the sponge from the pips and then glue the long pips inversed to the sponge?
  15. Pips falling out

Is there any method to apply to long pips so that they don't break easily? It's so annoying to find pips missing after a just few weeks of training :/
  16. Changing from offense to defense: Short or long pimples?

You should also try meteor 8512. I tried around 10 pips for the same game style you want to do, and 8512 was easily the best of all of them in terms of control, spin variation, versatility. I suggest thickest sponge available (seems to be 1.0mm at the moment) because then you can push with...
  17. Changing from offense to defense: Short or long pimples?

Yes, extremely hard to chop with compared to LP or other chopping SP like spinpips. Of course, in the off chance anyone could actually control that thing it would be extremely potent. However, just because you get the occasional emergency chop does not mean OP can consistently chop with it and...
  18. Tibhar K3 durability and alternatives

I recommend D09c or Xiom O7 China Guang. Both last around 8 months of frequent training with reboosting. But you might have to boost CG from the start, can be too hard depending on hardness variability.
  19. Got a racket from Anders Lind

Except that G1 actually is an ESN tensor rubber xD but still true that the sponge is made to be reasonably elastic without dumping a truckload of booster fluid inside. Which I would totally do if I played G1, but I also boost my T05s :D
  20. Changing from offense to defense: Short or long pimples?

spinfire is extremely hard to control if you are chopping. Harder to chop with than inverted imo. If you want something cheap to try out then I recommend meteor 8512. A very grippy long pip that can change spin and ever create some on its own.
