Honestly, I think the Mercury 2 is an underrated rubber. People are seeing it as a cheap rubber because it cost like less than coffee. But for that price I think it can handle everything for a split of the price of any other rubber. Yes, it lacks speed, but how many of us is playing top tier...

Agree. Some setups feel awesome, others not as much. For some reason beyond my understanding I fell in love with chinese tacky rubbers. The linear behaviour and lack of tensor effect makes them easier to use (at least for me). But as you stated, they're easy to use till the blade is not a speed...
