For me it works sometimes, a softer sponge can create more catapult effect and make the ball faster (if you're more of an beginner as I'm). More power requires also a better technique. If you want to make BH flicks, for a beginner it's more difficult to do it with a harder rubber. Between C-1...

One advice I'd give to you is: Get a blade and glue some beginner rubbers on it. Pre-made bats are for recreational use only. After some time, the rubbers will become dead (and it they are almost deadish from the very beginning). On pre-made bats it's not always possible to change the rubbers...

Used Rakza 7, now using G-1 and C-1, both Fastarcs a less spin sensitive than Rakza. But that's maybe just my subtle feeling..for me it's easier to return spinny balls with Fastarc. 🤷‍♂️

There are carbon blades that are slower than Hadraw 5. Innerforce are about 180€ blades, Nittaku Accoustic is about 20-30€ cheaper. Are your peers gonna pay for the blade? If not, I'd stick with the Hadraw 5, it's an awesome blade. Have one myself.

Would say G-1 as it is more linear.
